Ah. After working up to these “words” with a number of previous, more gently critical anti-Catholic references, Mr. Taylor has definitively proven himself to be a false messenger. This is disappointing, as some of his writings have been quite intriguing and encouraging, with a ring of authenticity to them. It is conceivable that his earlier messages were authentic, but Our Lord simply would never speak of His Validly-elected Vicar on Earth, or His Church, in such a manner.

Matthew 16

Of which rock (petros or petra, meaning the same thing) does this passage speak? Peter, the first pope, placed in authority over His Church by Christ Himself, and the first of an unbroken succession of 266 popes: some good, some bad, some saints...all the way up to Francis.

When the purgation is over, the Church will be in hiding and smaller for a time, but it will never be destroyed.

Scriptures and mystics speak of false prophets in general, but of a particular False Prophet in the time of Revelation. That such a character might come to power by usurping (i.e., through some invalid process) the Chair of Peter is not out of the realm of possibility, however, Pope Francis does not meet that criteria.

It has always been true that the pope and Vatican are not furthering the Kingdom of God but have been a large part of the kingdom of darkness.

Acts 8:9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

The very 1st Pope was a sorcerer "called Simon".

The day I was born again from atheism, I read the New Testament for the first time, cover to cover.

When I got to the part about the whore riding the beast (Revelation 17), God very clearly showed me it was the papacy.

I didn't want to believe it at the time because I thought the church was Roman Catholicism and Roman Catholicism was the church.

For three and a half years after I was born again, I became involved in the Catholic organization, so much so that the last church I attended, I was given a key to come and go as I pleased. I also taught a weekly Bible class there (if you can believe that, in a Catholic church). The priests and deacons and I got along very well. They knew my faith was sincere.

It was in that church building that God reminded me of the revelation he showed me at my rebirth. He did so in a vision while I was sitting alone in the building.

I left Catholicism that day and never returned.

That was in 2003.

The papacy will come to an end because scripture says it will. The whore riding the beast is the papacy. I have zero doubt about that.

It is written; the USA is the 2nd beast of Revelation 13.

Opinions of man do not matter.

You either see and receive The Truth as it is written in The Word of God or you do not.

His Word does not return void. It will do whatever The Will Of God Purposes for it to do.

....they merely assimilated the existing Christian network of churches that had already existed for well over 200 years.

To say the RCC is the original church as set up by the Apostles is misleading, and conveniently ignores the 200+ years of persecution that Rome doled out during that time.
