Texas alone has over 7,000 hazardous dams that threaten lives but detailed lists are kept secret by state government which said it can’t let such information fall into the hands of terrorists. The Army Corps has committed $75 million to completely replace the big gates on both Addicks and Barker dams. Work is just now beginning and will take up to four years to complete. I'm in the Brazos River valley in central/SE Texas, and just north of me they're having bridges washed out, road closures, etc., and through this weekend we're set to have rain each day. This started two nights ago when the area received between 4 and 9 inches of rain overnight. Any more rainfall is going to cause runoff very quickly. This is a serious flood; please take precautions to protect people and property. We ain't seen nothing yet , imagine the drama that would unfold from a years rainfall falling per day, and that's where we're heading . Europe is toast ,it had the past but it has no future .
