They're cranking up CERN again. They are experimenting with time travel and it is opening portals all over the globe. Not a good thing since there was a lot of strangeness experienced in the first experiments that even freaked the scientists out a bit. Still, they will continue until something comes through that they will not be able to control, that is, if it hasn't happened already.
