Pet owners: show me your pritties

Over a decade ago I took a job with Liberty Mutual for a year or so, handling Workers Comp claims... The client for my team/department was UPS employees. One day I received a claim for a UPS driver who had apparently broken his leg on the job. I had to wait 3 days for him to be discharged from the hospital so that I could interview him over the phone and get all of the details (from his perspective) about what had transpired. He explained to me that he was making a delivery when all of a sudden 2 dogs came running at him from around the side of the home... He said he took off running and jumped off a hill or ledge on the property and broke his leg when he landed. In circumstances like this you need to obtain information about the dogs to find out whom they belong to - in case there is 3rd party liability that comes into play. This man sounded like he feared for his life - so I asked him what the dogs looked like that were chasing after him (thinking they had to be some large, intimidating breed)... He said they were DACHSHUNDS and the cognitive disonnance I experienced when I heard his completely unexpected response brought me to the very brink of bursting out in laughter... He heard this on his end and quickly followed up with, "BUT THEY WERE CHARGING!"

Before I finished up the interview I informed him that I would next need to speak with his Manager at his local hub about the incident, and that if anyone asked, they were pitbulls or dobermans that were 'charging' him - not the little weinerdogs (which his coworkers would never let him live down, haha)...

I explained its for glp, so make a good face but in the end I had to practically drag him in front of camera.
