Alcohol is the elephant in the room... Drink too much of it in one night and you can die... Drink too much of it over a long duration and you can die... How many people have caused harm to others due to the inhibition lowering and mind-numbing effects of alcohol intoxication? No valid medical uses when you consider that it's actually poisoning the body (even though it can temporarily numb physical pain)...

And I say all of this while enjoying a glass of red wine... I'm not anti-alcohol - but it's entirely ridiculous how this substance collectively gets a pass and then you have this plant/substance which is nothing like it in terms of
potential to cause serious harm/danger and has at least 50+ accepted medical uses/applications but gets routinely criticized and demonized... Bizarro Upside-Down World...

Don't even get me started on our culture's acceptance of prescription drugs which may or may not contribute to suicidal thoughts, violent behavior, and suicide... No collective outrage over those harmful and potentially deadly substances... So drink until your liver fails, and take pills which may make you want to harm yourself - but don't you dare enjoy or benefit from the medicinal properties of a plant you can grow in your own spare bedroom and will never kill you...
