New PLASMA MILITARY TECHNOLOGY - a 'crowd control' tech that creates plasma balls then EXPLODES THEM using lasers

Sounds like they were testing this in Cuba... remember those mystery weapons, making people sick, ill and deaf?

Deploy these to the Mexico border NOW.

It basically creates a plasma "flashbang" effect anywhere within a >100m radius that can be scaled up or down in power. Imagine pointing anywhere around you and instantly causing explosions at will ranging from firecracker to halo-style plasma grenade. It says it will also be used by civilian law enforcement.

They could have built a similar weapon for about 1/1000th the price, which could be a cannon that takes various types of fireworks and launches them at the crowd, and they could even hurl them on a ballistic trajectory and ignite the firework with a laser... Same effect achieved, far far cheaper. And on the plus side, it does not require fuel or an expensive high power generator to operate.

Plenty of crowd control tech out there, Sonic technology seems to be a lot more simple and effective

Only thing left to invent, what Id like to see is facial recognition smart drones that delivers some type of lethal execution. Ive had dreams of these things.

Well then just make a cannon that hurls flashbangs on a nice controlled trajectory and attach mini parachutes to them so they come down slower, allowing AI targeted lasers to ignite them just above the target.

Same effect far cheaper.

To the ignorant it would appear as the voice of God.

Now for our tax dollars it had better have an earth shattering kaboom!!

I do believe I witnessed this tech being developed in the mid 1990s. Thousands of self illuminating plasma balls playing "follow the leader" flying thousands of feet in the air. When they got close the air smelled burnt or ionized and the sound it gave off was that of a Tesla Coil in operation.

The citizens have to maintain control of the government.

Stalin and others ruled bloody tyrannies using clubs and rifles.

A guy with advanced weapons can be stopped with a kitchen knife if you can get close enough.

In my country, millions of hunters have rifles that can be used at long range. Can politicians (the bad sort) maintain a 1000 yard perimeter of safety forever?

In the end, the citizens HAVE the power if they have the will.

lmao very true, but firecrackers are old tech. There's no advancement if you reuse old tech with new purposes, so to speak.

interesting question lol. Maybe if the electrical force of the laser was greater than the sun the extra energy would have to go somewhere..

If you get over the fear and confusion, as soon as you may, the fact of Reality is that every invasive device/weaponry can easily have protection/defense/counter-punch attack back. This is a foundationally basic feature - you just have to analyze how it works and strike back as necessary !

You think you already won. I say we have only begun to fight.

It was 1996 at an Air Force bombing range. They would open it up on the weekends to the public for hiking and hunting. There was over 100,000 acres that was not part of the 4 ranges that they used for bombing. You could also camp overnight but the rule was after the sun went down you had to be at your camp and could not leave until dawn.

Had met some friends down there and had planned on camping but just as the sun was starting to set I said forget it, wanted my bed and a shower. Another friend who had rode down with the others decided on the same so I agreed to give him a lift back to his house.

I'll try to make an already Long story short.

We are riding out in the pickup. The dirt access road cuts through a bombing range that is basically flat scrub brush to the horizon looking west. Last bit of light in the sky. I think I see a radio tower blinking but as we roll down the rode I can't believe what I'm seeing. My friend is as speechless as I am as the truck rolls to a stop. What we see I can only describe as what would look like the top half of a Ferris wheel all lit up. Except the Ferris wheel is made up of tiny lights. They looked as though they were descending into the ground and coming back up. Like they were rotating in a complete circle but we could only see the top half of it.

At this point we are standing in the bed of the pickup. I try to talk to my friend but no words are coming out of my mouth. I finally get out "What is it?". As soon as I do that one of these "lights" breaks from the loop and soars high into the sky and starts its way back to the rest. It passes by the thousands in the loop and as it does about half of the lights follow it in single file. They make a huge arc across the sky. It's dark by now and these Red lights a glowing very brightly like LEDs do nowadays...except no LEDs back then. They make two or three loops across the sky and I say something else to my friend and just then they make a beeline for us. They came very fast and we had no time to react really so we just stood there as they flew about 10 feet over our heads at what would be just between the two of us. At this point All I could hear is the crackling of electricity and the smell of burnt air. They were so close I could see they were an actual substance and not just lights. It undulated like a flying self illuminating goo ball.

They arced one more time and then got back into the circular formation...coming out of the ground and going back in. About 30 seconds later it stopped. We just stood there in silence. Utter silence. There were absolutely no sounds at all. No night birds, no insects, no frogs, no nothing. I was dazed and confused...foggy. Just as we are climbing down from the back of the truck it starts up again but this time with Blue Lights.

My friend is starting to freak out and says No Way when I say I want to stay and watch this again. So we leave. Drive the next two hours in silence...stupefied.

Two things to add:
1. There were signs all over this range about lasers being in operation and to wear protective goggles. I always thought this was how the plasma balls were created. And they seemed intelligent. There was no random movement to them.
2. I saw this friend at a wedding in 2011 and we got to talking about our crazy times. I mention this to him and I am met with a blank stare. He doesn't have a bit of recollection of this. This just floored me. I thought he was joking but he was not. This guy is a doctor and has an excellent memory. This has bothered for a long time.
