It was probably sold off in the 80's when the US and the British sold off all of their gold for next to nothing. Fort Knox is empty of real gold. We have a lot of gold plated tungsten though.

They're acquiring all the world's gold. Have been for 2 decades. And it's no secret. They even encourage their own citizens to buy gold. (which is unheard of until recently) OP, look at Australia. China brought the mining rights there. In exchange for mining Australia's gold, they employ some of its people, and build roads to and from the mining sites. China is also mining a lot of gold in Africa using similar deals. The missing gold in Australia was probably an inside job between elements of the Australian government and the Chinese.
