Caravan leaving Guatemala made of one group, changed in Mexico to another
When the caravan was here, near my location in Guatemala, there were several expats that brought formula and diapers, food, etc to the children and women that were there. There were far more women and children than men.

Then, as they proceeded, they were joined with more and more men - angry, antagonistic men looking to prove a point. For those of you that don't know, certain areas of Guatemala are incredibly violent and other areas are like the US in the 1960s. As they moved farther toward some of the more drug and gang controlled areas, they gained men.

Yesterday, a local news station interviewed a family that was turning around and heading back to Honduras- via bus. The father said that he was really frightened by the new groups of men that had joined. They were looking for a fight. He said that several of the families had turned around and gone back to Honduras out of fear of these men. The news station reported that 100s of the 'real Hondurans' had returned, but, were replaced by a violent mob.

Also, there was a very small baby in a chest carrier that was squished to death in the pushing in Mexico. Bless his tiny soul.

So, who you think is coming/ started this is not.

And, i have heard absolutely nothing of a second caravan. So, if one appears, I suspect it began in Mexico, not here.

Are you Guatemalan or an expat living there?

Do any of the more innocent locals realize they're used by the likes of Soros? Also do you know how much any were paid (as shown in the video of money being passed out)?

At their point of arriving here, they were on foot. However, I travel their route every 3 months and I can't believe that they were on foot much farther. It takes us 6 hours in car to go from where we live to Tapachula (where they are- the border with Tecum Uman). They were here one day, there the next.

I am an expat- born and raised in Southern Wisconsin.

Truthfully, its just a very strange situation here. The people that we know are locals- many of whom have been deported from the US and who stayed here once they were removed. Fairly normal, pleasant people.

I just don't know anyone that is crossing illegally right now. I know that the situation in Honduras is really, really bad. I have a friend whose husband is Honduran and they just sold their property there. They are scared to go back to sign the paperwork for sale because of the level of violence.

It seems, to me, that the original group truly was full of people whose families had been killed by gangs, who had businesses that were extorted, whose children had been trafficked, etc.

And, then, they're on some mysterious bus to take them back to Honduras? I just don't get it.

And the people that take their place are all 'trying to start problems' and begin fights.

The situation is really scary. There has to be a reason.

Is it Honduras where MS13 calls home?

I heard a guy call into a radio show last night and he was American with a home in Honduras or Guatemala (probably the later). When asked what it was like down there he said is was good if you had money but terrible if you were poor because there are virtually no services. Show host said the murder rate in Honduras is 90+ per 100K or more than ten x that of the US. It's got to be horrible. He asked the caller what percentage of the locals would come to the US if they had the chance and the caller said "ALL OF THEM"!

Are any of these people welcome in other central American countries like Costa Rica or Panama?

The news station reported that 100s of the 'real Hondurans' had returned, but, were replaced by a violent mob.

Also, there was a very small baby in a chest carrier that was squished to death in the pushing in Mexico. Bless his tiny soul.

So, who you think is coming/ started this is not.

And, i have heard absolutely nothing of a second caravan. So, if one appears, I suspect it began in Mexico, not here.

And mix in ISIS, MS-13, Drug trafficking and Radical Islamics and you will kick off a hot border war with American Ranchers and Patriots which will spill over into law enforcement. Pending if those inner groups are armed?
Ok, I am back WTF!

Went on a blind date with a Caucasian ex-pat who retired relatively young to Costa Rica. Said it was a good, comparatively cheap life for a single man who loved the beach, mountains, fresh local fruit. Safe housing, local maid, cook, driver/guide all cheap & hard working.

Had to prove he had more than sufficient income to survive unaided. Downside is that you had to deal with huge bugs everywhere, no matter how clean you kept your kitchen. UGH.

I would think many of the families fleeing Honduras for its violence and such would take sanctuary in Mexico then.
Not sure why they would go back on a bus if offered.
(Must be hard choices)
I pray for all involved.
(especially the angry young men....think cool blue water putting out the hot destructive fire)
