When the Caravan hits the American border.......

When the Caravan gets close to the southern American border do you really think those migrants will remain on the road and simply walk up to the gates and ask to be let in? REALLY????

Put yourselves into their shoes for a minute and think about what you would do if you were on that road and America was a couple of miles away. I can guarantee that you would say "Adios, amigos and take off to the woods and make your way in on your own. Yes, one, two or fifteen miles away and I'd be off that road and angling towards another entry point.

Now comes my thinking. What should the American land owners do? Remember that land owners have rights and one of those rights is to secure their property. So I can see property owners hanging huge signs saying "Trespassers will be shot on sight". Along with pictograms depicting folks who are crossing the border getting shot. Might make for bad news optics, but it is well within their rights.

How would the 82nd Airborne wrangle 10,000 cockroaches? They won't be able to do it. Posting one soldier per 100' of border, using infrared sensors, drones, and quick response vehicles is about the only way to dissuade folks from making the crossing. But those troops will be ineffectual if the Caravan begins gaining numbers. Heck, it started out as 1000 Hondurans and now it's up to seven to ten thousand folks. Who's to say that 50,000 won't join before they reach the border.

Property owners on the border, the Texas National Guard, and a lot of Border Patrol agents need to be on the front line. If a Honduran gets in, then they need to be shipped back immediately. IMMEDIATELY. If their originating country doesn't want them, oh well, kick them off the plane and onto the tarmac. But if Honduras government our $50M then they will play ball.
