She believes her area is near the New Madrid Fault line. This fault zone is six times larger than the San Andreas fault zone in California and it covers portions of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. No one on GLP is from Mississippi? Really?
 Quoting: Midnight Oil

Bayou corne sinkhole, location the "enemy" will hit to set off bombs more than 10x hiroshima to blow the fault.
There is higher risk of "enemies" doing it now than nature. Whatever they do, the HUGE bomb is there at bayou corne and all along the river the corps of engineers or somebody has explosives laid explosives to "reroute" it, but people do not think that is what they are for.
It makes sense that if they were going tp set it off or "help a lot" they might systematically blast weaken and break up the line where the fault might have stopped? Panama canal toooo small! We will have room for 2 way barges and floating casino! (?)

Camp Shelby is about 40 miles south of her area. Doubt she'd hear the tanks there.

Camp Shelby is just south of Hattiesburg. That is where the Army’s tank training is. I’m in Wiggins and hear the tanks all the time. Big booms.

she thinks the booms are too close to be from the military base? It's possible the military could be doing it off base but that would be highly unusual.

she says it sounds too close to be from the military base, that it sounds like a gun battle in the neighborhood. They come randomly and are still happening now.

My friend there is taking care of a bedfast man who is former military and he said he has never heard a sound like that before. They are 3 hours from the Bayou corne sinkhole.

Some neighbors were having their entire driveway done, pavers in etc etc..the noise was unreal, they used huge spotlights too. Boom boom boom and they worked until 10pm. Is anyone in the area having construction done to a home?
Scary to think of an attack in the gulf but totally possible one day.

She also had told me that both her and this man and also the neighbor have heard the sounds of civil war people talking. She said, maybe we're in a civil war time warp. LOL! Sorry, I had to laugh. I told her, then tell them to knock it off, the north has already won.

I agree. Right now there is much more chance of it being that.

I guess you don't actually know that the New Madrid is NOT a "fault line" - it is a "rift zone". There are lots of fingers/small fault lines in the area... but not ONE BIG FAULT. So... I don't think it can be "set off". LOL

Yeah the secret doo doo black ops guy sez its not possible but I bet he doesn't know everything. I like the idea of civil war better. Apparently his dad used to live there and also said he heard conversations of civil war soldiers. I'm afraid its less interesting than that, just local military practicing their saber rattling.

The local elite are blasting new bomb/survival shelters underground. Happened north/northwest of Little Rock a couple/few years ago.

I grew up and have a house on the south boundary of Camp Shelby in the Desoto NF. If they are hammering the 155s then it can rattle the world the pictures off the walls. No idea if it could be felt for 40+ miles but if someone is sensitive enough it could be....especially if they are hearing it in that general direction.

But, it could be seismograph explosions in the oilfield areas. Is it late at night or just in the early evening?

What direction are the booms? Does it sound like they are coming from Gulf, could be some sort of exercise out there. What kind of helicopters, military?

Even at night, you can usually tell if military, way louder, deep rumble. Also, lighting different, or sometimes they turn lighting off, but you will see a big red light. Chinooks have the green, so do Ospreys.
 Quoting: Keilani

Ah, It is only the contractors for the elite. They are trying to finish their tunneling shelters before WWIII. It is going on all over the US and nobody ever asks why? Amazing that they have planned the culling of the US population soon. We are to lose 227 million people by 2025 to down to 100 million.

Every city had a noise ordinance. If it's after 11pm, you can tell her to call the law and tell them its disturbing the peace! Tell her to tell the cops, they don't need to come to her door either. They can go investigate, make it stop and leave her alone. She needs her rest poor lady. Can she get some ear buds for it?

My friend in that area says she has been hearing explosions and so have the neighbors. No one, not police or anyone knows the cause. They have been growing louder and closer together. At 5:30, mountain standard time she had not heard them for a few minutes. Anyone hear them or have any info? I find nothing on the internet.

New Madrid is close to popping off again!
 Quoting: Q33

It all started at precisely 2:30 a.m., December 16, 1811. That's when the town of Big Prairie, in the Mississippi River flood plain region located in the state of Arkansas, ceased to exist. The pioneer settlers of the village ran for their lives as the town sank and quickly became a part of the river. The quake that caused the destruction is believed to have been about 8.0 on the Richter Scale. It completely devastated the entire region. The mighty Mississippi churned into a virtual maelstrom as mile after mile of river banks collapsed. Two entire islands disappeared, one inhabited by a band of river pirates, who all perished in a moment of fearsome justice.

Thread: The Great New Madrid Earthquake
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

“Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.”
