My friend in that area says she has been hearing explosions and so have the neighbors. No one, not police or anyone knows the cause. They have been growing louder and closer together. At 5:30, mountain standard time she had not heard them for a few minutes. Anyone hear them or have any info? I find nothing on the internet.

New Madrid is close to popping off again!
 Quoting: Q33

It all started at precisely 2:30 a.m., December 16, 1811. That's when the town of Big Prairie, in the Mississippi River flood plain region located in the state of Arkansas, ceased to exist. The pioneer settlers of the village ran for their lives as the town sank and quickly became a part of the river. The quake that caused the destruction is believed to have been about 8.0 on the Richter Scale. It completely devastated the entire region. The mighty Mississippi churned into a virtual maelstrom as mile after mile of river banks collapsed. Two entire islands disappeared, one inhabited by a band of river pirates, who all perished in a moment of fearsome justice.

Some neighbors were having their entire driveway done, pavers in etc etc..the noise was unreal, they used huge spotlights too. Boom boom boom and they worked until 10pm. Is anyone in the area having construction done to a home?
Scary to think of an attack in the gulf but totally possible one day.

She said: Yes the wealthy are building here. The older houses like this one are not selling. They are putting in an urgent care center around the block but the building is already up.

She also had told me that both her and this man and also the neighbor have heard the sounds of civil war people talking. She said, maybe we're in a civil war time warp. LOL! Sorry, I had to laugh. I told her, then tell them to knock it off, the north has already won.
 Quoting: Midnight Oil

Every city had a noise ordinance. If it's after 11pm, you can tell her to call the law and tell them its disturbing the peace! Tell her to tell the cops, they don't need to come to her door either. They can go investigate, make it stop and leave her alone. She needs her rest poor lady. Can she get some ear buds for it?
 Quoting: FunnyStrange

Thats a good point. I'm gonna tell her.

Re: Mississippi people of the ellisville/laurel/Hattiesburg area. Have you been hearing explosions?
As someone else mentioned in this thread, Linda Moulton Howe at Earthfiles has been documenting these loud booms for years. They've been heard all over. I live in Michigan and have heard tremendously loud booms over the past 25 years. In that time, maybe a dozen and so loud they shake the house. Usually at night. The only thing I could to compare them to would explosions of dynamite (which I've never knowingly heard). No idea WTF they are.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

I'm glad I found it when I searched because it was posted so long ago. I posted it. My old username was "susano" but I forgot the password and could never get back into my account so created this one. When I pulled it up it had negative karma and I'm like WTF?! I don't even recall having the karma system when I used that name. Anyway, it's one of the best historical accounts I've ever read. I had no idea the great New Madrid quake actually went on for months.

Camp Shelby is just south of Hattiesburg. That is where the Army’s tank training is. I’m in Wiggins and hear the tanks all the time. Big booms.

Re: Mississippi people of the ellisville/laurel/Hattiesburg area. Have you been hearing explosions?
thx for the pin, thanks y'all. I don't know anything about fracking but would think it would be a daytime thing?
 Quoting: Midnight Oil

Fracking is a daytime thing and there are no booms. Just a shitload of diesel engines screaming and shaking the ground. I grew up in Laurel and worked on a Halliburton frac crew back in the day. We were based in Laurel, but I don't remember any frac jobs near town. It was get up at 2 a.m. and load up, drive 4 or 5 hours, rig up and do a frac job, then drive back. Next day rinse and repeat. It sucked big time.

But, back to the subject at hand, the first thing that came to mind is that there were two Nuke tests near Hattiesburg in the '60s. Not saying they're testing nukes, just that this reminded me.

I am 20 miles north of Pascagoula and the gulf. No booms here in about a week, but we have them often. We have Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi. So maybe it is jets breaking the sound barrier. Sonic booms.

I had some very strange explosions this year. One so loud or close it shook my walls!

Two years back there was a rash of the 5 gal propane tanks being stolen. Around that sametime there was a cache of weapons found in the Mark Twain around Ft. Lenoardwood. As well during the sametime a neighbor caught a man that appears to be of Arabic descent on their land. Cops covered for him, said he was captured, but pic that they posted was of a blond arctic looking man.

No doubt 0bama imported his cousins and armed them ... as they were planned for the Hillary regime ... I believe.

I live in the very rural woods of the Ozarks and got, what I consider a BOMB on the porch of my cabin the night of the 23rd

Article and pic are here: [link to www.godlikeproductions.com]

Dump trucks when unloading the lift, pulse the gate a couple of times to remove the remaining dirt, then lower the bed.

She believes her area is near the New Madrid Fault line. This fault zone is six times larger than the San Andreas fault zone in California and it covers portions of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. No one on GLP is from Mississippi? Really?
 Quoting: Midnight Oil

Bayou corne sinkhole, location the "enemy" will hit to set off bombs more than 10x hiroshima to blow the fault.
There is higher risk of "enemies" doing it now than nature. Whatever they do, the HUGE bomb is there at bayou corne and all along the river the corps of engineers or somebody has explosives laid explosives to "reroute" it, but people do not think that is what they are for.
It makes sense that if they were going tp set it off or "help a lot" they might systematically blast weaken and break up the line where the fault might have stopped? Panama canal toooo small! We will have room for 2 way barges and floating casino! (?)

Edit:

Ahhh. we may be onto something.

I agree. Right now there is much more chance of it being that.
 Quoting: Timur2020

I guess you don't actually know that the New Madrid is NOT a "fault line" - it is a "rift zone". There are lots of fingers/small fault lines in the area... but not ONE BIG FAULT. So... I don't think it can be "set off". LOL
