Flight JT610 lost contact with ground officials 13 minutes after takeoff. It has sunk in waters about 30 meters to 35 meters (98 to 115 ft) deep, about 15 km (9 miles) north of the coast of Java island

My stomach turned as if I was in the plane myself, what a way to go.

As for the assasination theory, what’s apparent, is that you can hear the engines roar, so there was no complete engine failure, and even if one engine fails in flight, it is theoretically possible to maintain flight, provided that all other circumstances are favorable.

The way I saw it, the plane was in a dive, so there could have been something wrong with the steering controls or the wings. Plausible? Don’t know, maybe? Possible? Hell yes! Sabotaging the steering is less obvious then a bomb, specially if you want to hide the fact that it is a wet job. Bombs are detected, because they actively look for them. Pilots do a checklist, but do not actively look for sabotage, they rely on the servicepersonel.

I guess it all comes down to motive, if it was not an accident.

maybe pilot error that could not recovered from STALL as it happened in flight 8501 and Flight 447 in the past.

Former accident investigator Alan Diehl told CNN it looks like the accident occurred after a "sudden departure from controlled flight."

"Air safety investigators will be looking at four broad categories -- mechanical, human, weather and criminal. It appears now that weather was not a factor but other than that, everything is on the table.

My opinion is that plane entered in STALL then pilot errors did not know what to do to control it manually.

Captain Bhavye Suneja had reportedly joined the low-cost carrier Lion Air in March 2011.

There was a 'resolved technical' problem on the previous flight per Lion Air CEO...

My take: The plane was 2 months old, (brand new) so it was likely a manufacturing defect. The pilots managed to request a return to the airport, and the planes flight became erratic, with the plane ascending and diving rapidly from 4500 feet to 5500 feet. Then it basically "fell out of the sky".

This indicates a control surface failure. Most likely it went into a tail spin and fell out of the sky, a plane cannot fly sideways or backwards.

This will be white washed and the incident will be pinned on pilot error.

Sincere thanks for the technical experts contributing to this thread. Very suspicious that 30 high level governmental officials in one area of expertise were on this flight.
