It's all well and good to "trust in God" but if you are not running toward the goal line looking over your shoulder, you won't be in a position to catch the football when He passes it. You're never going to catch that ball if you aren't willing to run for it.

You have to do your bit too. Get out, meet people, cultivate interests, go on dates. Maybe your approach has been too rigid. That doesn't mean you need a complete 180, maybe a 10 degree course correction will get you on track. Do what you feel from the heart, instead of slavish devotion to someone else's set of expectations.

Be willing to let go of something to embrace something else. There is such a thing as "toxic religion" and it has poisoned many peoples lives leaving them with deep regrets. Be willing to examine and re-evaluate your beliefs. Always live by a code, but realize that as you cbange over the course of your life, your code can as well.
