FissionSurplus User ID: 76791906 United States 10/30/2018 05:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm not too far from Austin, it's a nuthouse down there. I did want to point out, though, that ANYTHING suspicious that comes in the mail will be dealt with in the same manner. I used to work in immigration for Homeland Security. We were the expendables who would open the mail, and occasionally somebody would think it was funny to mail a letter coated in flour or baby powder. When that happens, the person who opened the letter is immediate quarantined at their desk. All others are required to go outside immediately while the fire dept and hazmat team are mobilized and can safely remove the substance. The poor clerk who was quarantined had to sit there crying and scared all by themselves. Nobody could do anything until it was taken to a lab and the substance identified. So no matter what the suspicion is, protocol is immediately followed until an okay is given. This probably happened close to once a month at the very least. It was usually flour or something like that. Let's hope that's all this is. |
