Catholics...
Man, those Catholics just can't catch a break. I'm really starting to feel sorry for them. It seems like every day someone is digging up bones of missing people or claiming abuse.

What do you guys think? Are they actually that bad or is it just the hell-bound trying to make them look bad?

Personal experience tells me the more hate and shaming someone gets the more of a good person they actually are. The REAL bad ones get to be governor and vice-president. The good ones get framed for serial murder and other crimes, or hacked to death for trying to help people.

I know there are plenty of devil-worshiping pedos trying to give protestants a bad name. Seems like every church I go to has a contingent of satan's little helpers there to provide disruption on demand, a preacher that teaches pimping and whoring instead of a saintly life.

I don't see why it would be any different for Catholics.

But is it systemic within the church, or is it an organized offensive like the Masonic lodge has suffered?

What do you guys think?

No worries. First century Christians (who were all “catholic”) endured worse persecution than we do now. The level of persecution is confirmation that the Roman Catholic Church is the One True Faith; if that were not so, why would evil organizations (read Bella Dodd’s testimony, and others) have gone to the trouble of such meticulous planning, logistical difficulty and the expense of infiltrating the Church in order to bring it down from with? Why is the consummate form of satanic worship a Black “Mass” using a stolen consecrated host, rather than a Black “Worship Service” using crackers and grape juice? The evil ones recognize the True Presence of Christ, and the True Church--the only one instituted by Christ Himself; it is regrettable that so many other reputed followers of Christ resist doing likewise.

Living in Western Europe I don't hear any complains from Catholics on the news.
I never don't go to church either.
I went once this year and had blissful experience. At the end my body started crying and I think it was one of the priests who caused it astrally somehow.

The following are excerpts from an article by Bill Donahue of the Catholic League. He was addressing the Pennsylvania Catholic clergy abuse issue, but the principles apply to the Catholic clergy at large.

Myth: Over 300 priests were found guilty of preying on youngsters in Pennsylvania.
Fact: No one was found guilty of anything. Yet that didn't stop CBS from saying "300 'predator priests' abused more than 1,000 children over a period of 70 years." These are all accusations, most of which were never verified by either the grand jury or the dioceses.

Myth: The report was warranted because of the on-going crisis in the Catholic Church.
Fact: There is no on-going crisis—it's a total myth. In fact, there is no institution, private or public, that has less of a problem with the sexual abuse of minors today than the Catholic Church.

Myth: The priests "raped" their victims.
Shapiro [PA Attorney General]said that "Church officials routinely and purposely described the abuse as horseplay and wrestling and inappropriate contact. It was none of those things." He said it was "rape." Similarly, the
New York Times quoted from the report saying that Church officials used such terms as "horseplay" and "inappropriate contact" as part of their "playbook for concealing the truth."
Fact: This is an obscene lie. Most of the alleged victims were not raped: they were groped or otherwise abused, but not penetrated, which is what the word "rape" means. This is not a defense—it is meant to set the record straight and debunk the worst case scenarios attributed to the offenders.
Furthermore, Church officials were not following a "playbook" for using terms such as "inappropriate contact"—they were following the lexicon established by the John Jay professors.

Myth: The abusive priests were pedophiles.
Fact: This is the greatest lie of them all, repeated non-stop by the media, and late-night talk TV hosts.
There have been two scandals related to the sexual abuse of minors in the Catholic Church. Scandal 1 involves the enabling bishops who covered it up. Scandal II involves the media cover-up of the role played by gay molesters.
Let me repeat what I have often said. Most gay priests are not molesters, but most of the molesters have been gay. Not to admit this—and this includes many bishops who are still living in a state of denial about it—means the problem will continue. Indeed, there are reports today about seminaries in Boston and Honduras that are disturbing.
How do I know that most of the problem is gay-driven? The data are indisputable.
The John Jay study found that 81 percent of the victims were male, 78 percent of whom were post-pubescent. Now if 100 percent of the victimizers are male, and most of the victims are post-pubescent males, that is a problem called homosexuality. There is no getting around it.
How many were pedophiles? Less than five percent. That is what the John Jay study found. Studies done in subsequent years—I have read them all—report approximately the same ratio. It's been a homosexual scandal all along.

Conclusion:
The guilty should pay, and the innocent should not. This is a pedestrian axiom that is being trashed today when it comes to assessing priestly misconduct, something the Pennsylvania grand jury report has contributed to mightily.
No amount of compassion for those who have been violated by priests should ever be done at the expense of telling the truth, no matter how unpopular it may sound. To do otherwise is cowardly, shameful, and unjust.
What is driving the current mania over this issue is not hard to figure out. I am a sociologist who has been dealing with this issue for a long time, having published articles about it in books and international journals.
Here is what's going on. There are many vicious critics of the Catholic Church who would like to weaken its moral authority, and will seize on any problem it has to discredit its voice. Why? They hate its teachings on sexuality, marriage, and the family.
These very same people delight in promoting a libertine culture, one which ironically was the very milieu that enticed some very sick priests and their seminarian supervisors to act out in the first place.

There is nothing wrong with Catholic teachings on this subject: If priests had followed their vows, and not their id, we would not have this problem. Those who refuse to use the brakes God gave them, straight or gay, should be shown the gate or never admitted in the first place.

Saints and sinners make up the Catholic church. Many Catholics are just cultural Catholics. They don't actually believe in the teachings of the Catholic church. Only 39% of Catholics attend mass every Sunday. Missing mass even once is a mortal sin, which could send you to Hell if not confessed. There are devout Catholics too. I believe the majority of priests are actually holy people that unfortunately get attacked because of the actions of the bad ones. The church is going to go through persecutions and scandals, but it will survive.

When the term catholic was first penned in 107 by Ignatius of Antioch in his Letter to the Smyrnaeans, it was a universal generic term.

Christ didn't start the RCC.

Once Constantine had his "vision", won the battle and subsequently made Christianity legal AND the "official religion" of the Roman Empire...

...they merely assimilated the existing Christian network of churches that had already existed for well over 200 years.

To say the RCC is the original church as set up by the Apostles is misleading, and conveniently ignores the 200+ years of persecution that Rome doled out during that time.

God and His Son Jesus merely used Rome to spread Christianity, since the Roman Empire was still the most powerful in that area of the world.

The Reformation was started by God and Jesus because of all the atrocities the RCC had been commiting, especially the notion that lay-people were NOT to read the Bible.

These days, most of the Christian denominations are similar to the RCC in the sense that they have gotten away from good Biblical teachings.

Just look at all the scandels and upheaval that is happening in them.
I am a humble Servant of the one True Living God.

Re: Catholics...
Appreciate the concern OP, but the Church established by Jesus Christ will survive. It is hard as a Catholic to see loved ones question or even leave the faith and cite the priest abuse scandals as a major reason. The Catholic Church does not believe that anyone is sinless including the Pope. The only things that we believe are perfect about the Church are the sacraments and Church teaching on faith and morals. It was the Catholic Church that chose the Gospels and books of the New Testament by the authority that Jesus gave Peter when he handed him the keys to the Kingdom, and of course with the help of the Holy Spirit. The Church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum of saints, though it has produced countless saints. The Church leads you down the path to Heaven. By the way both my parents’ families are Catholic, I was raised Catholic, I went to Catholic school until college, and I was an altar server. I’m about as Catholic as it gets. And I think my life has been as close to Heaven as this life gets. Catholicism is not as rigid as outsiders think. We’re normal, good, loving people for the most part. I thank God every day for blessing me with the life Ive had. I thank God that my parents, educators, and other role models brought me up right and taught me what the path to true happiness and fulfillment is. Mainstream American culture is way off. There’s a reason nobody gets married young these days. They don’t know how to build a real, holy relationship. I’m 26 btw. Raised in Eugene, Oregon, live in Portland.

The Vatican has been evil from the beginning.

The Vatican is the current throne of Satan. The Vatican is the synagogue of Satan.

Acts 8:9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

The very 1st Pope was a sorcerer "called Simon".

Acts 8:10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

Re: Catholics...
Do me a favor OP.

Take a look at the almost 10,000 names and faces on this site. Do some follow-up on the individual cases (local articles) and then get back to us.

Re: Catholics...

I’m not at all friend. Since I believe the Catholic Church is God’s Church I believe Jesus when he said “the gates of Hell will not prevail against it” and that it will always be around. Trust me, true Catholics won’t abandon Jesus because of Judas. The Catholic Church is here to stay.

No problem brother. You know that Jews can be Catholic right? Do you believe that Jesus is the Messiah? I think it makes perfect sense that the Messiah became the new Passover lamb to save all of God’s children from their sins, both Jew and gentile. The Messiah doesn’t operate how the world does. He conquers with truth and love, not the sword, and he conquered death on the cross. Satan thought he had won when the Messiah was crucified, but God’s great plan of salvation backfired on him. The true promised land is Heaven, and Jesus opened up the doors for everyone. Salvation is from the Jews. The Jews didn’t kill Jesus. He died for the sins of all. I love and respect my Jewish brethren. You are God’s chosen people and you show it with the strength of your faith and your love for one another.
