Fact: Both sides of any major political election do opposition research. They also have allies and fans that help do additional research. Therefore, it is completely unreasonable to think Ted Cruz and his team were unaware of "Beto"s father-in-law's massive wealth.

Fact: Using this information to damage "Beto"s campaign would be very effective.

Fact: Neither Ted Cruz nor Trump have used this information against "Beto"

So, either:

A: Ted Cruz doesn't want to win

B: The outcome of ALL of the elections have been predetermined, so there is no need to use this information ("ALL", because this info would negatively impact all Democrat candidates and liberal news outlets - at least a little)

C: Using this info would somehow backfire on Trump/Cruz/Republicans. Perhaps the billionaire developer and alleged race-relation infractions would connect to Trump and damage Republicans. Or maybe "Beto"s wife is estranged and at odds with her father, which can be used to refute the image of being privileged.

D: Being that Trump and "Beto"s father-in-law likely know each other, maybe they have a deal with each other - or maybe the father-in-law can threaten Trump with something.

E: Something else is going on


So, which is it?
