It does happen. My daughter and I were talking about something on TV, when I went to look up the cast of the show, I typed in cast of and the name of the show was the first in the suggestions. I don't remember the name of the show but it was something older and not extremely popular, so def not a coincidence.

The zip file and it's contents where known to be scanned because google virus scans all attachments. It is part of the service you must let them scan for threats.

Check your settings. Google has a feature that allows it to backup every photo you take with your phone, it backs up to Google Photos. Even what you delete from your phone is still there in Google Photos. You can turn this off in your phone settings.

If you use Signal, they don't.
But, both ends have to use it.
