Apollonius rose to prominence by amassing religious followers as he preached and performed miracles.

'Eventually Apollonius became a wise sage himself and his own notoriety grew.

Aurelian the Roman Emperor vowed to erect temples and statues to his honour. Was there ever anything among men more holy?

'He reportedly restored life to the dead and spoke of things beyond the human reach. And, unlike Jesus, there is evidence to prove that Apollonius actually existed.'

They had NO control etc...of the network of Christian churches that had been in existence since the apostles had begun establishing them after Christ's ascension.

Facts are that the oldest known manuscripts date FAR EARLIER than Rome's control over Christians.

christianity is a wonderful teaching though.

it is not like a fairy tale or parable.

the words contain very deep psychological meaning, there's a reason it's been the foundation of societies worldwide for 2 thousand years. derp.

and whatever it is, being absorbed into an intelligent egregore, or a commonality of consciousness that is benevolent,

i mean, you wanna merge into group consciousness of millions of people who , sincerely in their deepest wishes want to do good to you, that's a powerful thing.

when society collapses you will do anything to end the suffering, the suffering becomes so horrific that you teach your kids whatever works, to prevent social collapse and chaos.
