Paul's Epistles are not THUS SAITH THE LORD Bible verses
To help, readers of the Bible, who are not church oriented, to understand the confusion you get when reading Pauls writings when compared to reading Jesus words or the past PROPHETS WORDS.

The reason it doesnt mesh and doesnt match up together is that Paul waqs not speaking en cathedral, but on his own. This is why there are so many church apologetic writings, trying to make them conform when they dont. Paul's writings are worth reading, if you understand he is not speaking THUS SAITH THE LORD. And you have to understand, he loved hierarchical status, and levels of the priesthood, rather than direct communication with the Lord. This is why the church system took over from the early Christians who individually were responsible to the Lord and hearing from the Lord.

Paul disciples built the church system, and demanded allegiance to the local, regional and national hierarchy.... IE control over thoughts and actions of the flock.

Paul just couldnt get away from LAW and HOLINESS. He tried to write about Grace and LIBERATION but just couldnt be convinced
Jesus LOVE would be sufficient to keep and inspire and direct the followers, so established old law dictates, dress, sexuality or lack thereof. etc etc etc etc...

Paul was a great disciple in getting out of Jerusalem and getting out the Salvation message about Jesus, but fell short with His letters. He was quite the courageous missionary and feisty and brave, but his letters fell short of the MARK

Study Jesus words, and HIS Prophets words as the WORD, and yet for background you can read the rest.

Re: Paul's Epistles are not THUS SAITH THE LORD Bible verses
Lets pre-empt church peoples so called self righteousness when they state that all scripture is of God. They think their declaration that all the Protestant Bible of 1850 is the pure WORD of God, makes them PURE BELIEVERS, even though every Protestant Denomination almost to the letter, states the same thing.

Ohhh. the church people are not going to like this truth... as it strips away their pride.

They dont serve the Lord, they arent missionaries and few have been, but they think just because they state.. I BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD..declaration makes them holy.

Yet if they do believe then why in heaven did they not serve the Lord from slavation onward til their future death in being missionaries...as that is what the WORD says we are suppose to do if we love Jesus and love others, who need Jesus..like we need JESUS

Re: Paul's Epistles are not THUS SAITH THE LORD Bible verses
Hence the biggest problem with Paul is that people have taken his word and opinions as the WORD OF GOD, and made them church LAW.

You cant evade, his wishy washy approach to salvation as sometimes being by grace and sometimes by being because of obediance to the law and WORKS. Paul was confusing which confuses readers and ensures church people can retain holiness as their means of deserving salvation, rather than totally being the gift of GOD because of CHRIST.

You can,t evade, Pauls disdain for women, and his inequalities when it comes to the genders. Its archaic teaching that modern people or thinkers or real people instantly reject. Pauls enuch philosophy as the ultimate also is totally bogus and easy to reject... so that this gives readers cause to reject Jesus when they reject Paul's words.

Forget the Ten Commandments, they are a good basic LAW that the religionists and the Jews easily try to evade and get around....which is why Jesus barked at the scribes and pharisees (religionists).. with His CLASSIC...Thou hast heard it has been said.... BUT I (JESUS) say unto you... lecture... And then the Lords total destruction of hiliness doctrine in Mathew 23..

Only Jesus spirit and love allows anyone to fulfill the 10 Commandments... if it's done in the flesh its shallow and becomes self righteousness and hypocracy.

Jesus gets the credit for fulfllling the LAW, not us. Jesus gives the grace and love literally, spiritually and every other way.

The religionists love LAW as they think they fulfill the LAW, which they sau makes them righteous, and more righteous than others

LOVE fulfills the law Jesus love fulfills the LAW

Following Pauls epistles does not fulfill the law, but sets up more laws... church laws that help control and bind church people from obeying, and simply thinking about their image... and self righteousness.

Re: Paul's Epistles are not THUS SAITH THE LORD Bible verses
Heres one of Pauls notoriously out of tune letter to his church members.... and the church people have made it a LAW ever since.

1 Corinthians 7 King James Version (KJV)

7 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I.

9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

18 Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.

19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

Paul was a proto-Valentinian gnostic and that is reflected in his views he laid in his letters.
His church was built on Pmeumatic spiritual) leadership, Pneumatic - addressed as spirit based , saints, chosen, sometimes Gentiles, Males (Men) and Psychic - soul based, called, sometimes Jews, Female (women). Pneumatic had connection with One True God and Psychics saw Demiurge (Creation, Creature) as their god as the were "spiritually discerned" (1 Cor 2: 14-15). Paul's letters were addressed to both types ("faith and knowledge") and Pneumatic that were spiritual leadership and were supposed to explain spiritual matters to Psychic nature. Unfortunately that system did not lust too long and Psychic element (spiritually descerned took over the Church.)

You should. Plenty of evidence there that I will sumerize here.

Jesus mentions the 10 Commandments several times, as do the Apostles.

It wasn't the 10 C's that Jesus took issue with, it was the Pharisitic teachings / mandates such as the oral Talmud etc...

26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Let HIM Give you A New Heart Of HIS Flesh and change your life... Let HIM eliminate your ignorance as St. John Says: "But you have an Unction From The Holy One and KNOW All Things!" of The Born-Agains, in 1st Epistle 2:20

Re: Paul's Epistles are not THUS SAITH THE LORD Bible verses
???????

Marriage IS better than "burning in lust" / sleeping around / living in sin.

What words of Jesus does 1 Corinthians 7 contradict?
Where is it recorded that Paul was a eunuch?
 Quoting: TheLordsServant

11"But he said to them, “Not everyone can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given. 12For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.”
 Quoting: ole

Sorry, but that isn't an admission by Paul of being a eunuch.

It's merely a statement.

Re: Paul's Epistles are not THUS SAITH THE LORD Bible verses
Of course He did, the 10 commandments were proven not to be able to be fulfilled by the religionists, as even they disobeyed them.

Only Jesus fulilled the 10 commandments in spirit and in truth even though the dam scribes and pharisees kept saying he was a law breaker.

NO one can obey all the 10 comandments, maybe they can pretend to, but they can never fulfill them in the SPIRIT.

Jesus ' commandment was to love one another,

The religionists love LAW as then they can deem themselves not to be sinners, and superior to the rabble.
 Quoting: Questquestion/Answer

You didn't even read the info I provided at the link I gave you.

You should. Plenty of evidence there that I will sumerize here.

Jesus mentions the 10 Commandments several times, as do the Apostles.

It wasn't the 10 C's that Jesus took issue with, it was the Pharisitic teachings / mandates such as the oral Talmud etc...
 Quoting: TheLordsServant

I agree with OP. Trying to be saved by following the law will only lead to guilt and defeat. You must first be saved by grace, then the indwelling Holy Spirit changes you from within.
Three years after I was saved, I lead my best girlfriend and old lover to the Lord. She has been saved for nearly 40 years, happily married with grown children. Her family do not know the truth about us. I loved her as much as I loved any man. If I had approached her about Jesus and conveyed any guilt or shame for our love, she never would have believed me. She did believe me and wanted the kind of love I told her about and prayed. She got water dunked and later the gift of tongues, like a whole lot of us old hippies did in the 70's. There was quite a revival at the time, and not because of a list of rules. I'm telling you here that she and I were both changed from within. It is Love that draws you and the Holy Spirit that changes you.
Paul's letters are not scripture. They are wonderful to read, but as a sister, not a follower. Most of what is written in them were his opinions.
After all these years I have fallen in love with the law, but only because I stubbornly learned it the hard way. The Holy Spirit is patient.

Genesis 49:27

Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.

Romans 11:1

I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She is trustworthy

12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She buys and works

14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She is generous

16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She buys land and works it

17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. She is strong

18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. She is charitable

21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. She enjoys dressing well with quality garments

23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. Her husband is wise and respectable

24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. She is a business owner

25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She's not ditzy

27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. She nurtures her house well

28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

women is a "code" for psychic nature , men a "code" for pneumatic nature, Eve (woman) was deceived by the snake because that nature is spiritually discerned. it is not about sexes but spiritual reference ( 1 Cor 2, 14:15). So when Paul said I forbid women to teach men he meant I forbid psychic nature to instruct pneumatic nature due to the fact that psychic nature is spiritual discerned.

Sadly, discussions such as this PROVE the OP and most repliers are ALIENATED From God...

In Ezekiel 36, Father's Prophet and Witness Gives HIS Word:
26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Above IS The Concise Witness of The Born-Again Life...

Jesus asks Nicodemus in John 3, after Telling him 3x "Ye Must Be Born-Again" to which Nicodemus remains clueless: "How can you be a Master of Israel and knowest not of these things?"

Well, all you Hebrews 12 Bastards that never capitulated Unto The Father, are also CLUELESS!

Father Says: HE Will Give Us "A New Heart Of Flesh" (HIS Flesh!) and Enable Us To KNOW and DO HIS Will; and "KEEP MY STATUTES"!!!

WTF do you think "Keep MY Statutes" means???

Of course, none of you are Born-Again In-HIM; so you KNOW Nothing!

But, you got conjecture and expectations!
Too bad you remain carnal, iniquitous...

Christ Says of the "super" Christians begging HIM to allow them into Heaven... They who had "done Miracles, Cast-Out demons, and Prophesied In HIS Name"... Jesus Tells them:
"Depart from ME, you workers of iniquity: I KNOW YOU NOT!"

You fucks care about everything BUT God!

If you cared about HIM, Loved HIM, you would have Told HIM So and Made your surrender; thereby becoming Born-Again and Shareholders In HIS Victory by your surrender!

You All KNOW NOTHING!
Nothing is your reward...
You have expectations of God, but cannot manifest your heart Unto HIM and thereby Answer The Call Father Put On YOUR HEART...

Gonna worry about St. Paul.... Fucking carnal-hearted idiots!

Every conjecture you post or offer serves only God's enemy!

Fact is, you are seeking to influence others, as Jesus Called Them "innocents"... Better you had never been born...

If you Trust God Fully, it is Time To Tell HIM...
Let HIM Give you A New Heart Of HIS Flesh and change your life... Let HIM eliminate your ignorance as St. John Says: "But you have an Unction From The Holy One and KNOW All Things!" of The Born-Agains, in 1st Epistle 2:20

And there are clever weasels here too!

"Marvel not that I Say unto you, YE MUST Be Born-Again!" John 3:7 "...No man Cometh Unto The Father BUT BY ME!" John 14:6

Not Ezekiel 36:26-27 Born-Again? Never came Unto The Father?

Jesus Witnesses in Matt 7:21 that HE ONLY KNOWS those "Who DO The Will Of MY Father Which Art In Heaven!"

Only BY Being Ezk 36 Born-Again are we Enabled to KNOW and DO Father's Will....

Can't see the correlation, can ya weasel?

Have no idea what God's Deliverance from your carnal-heart entails and means, do you?

But clever.... You get points for "style". Too bad your points will count for Nothing!

The OP is really a stylin' showoff; maybe more of a con-man with smooth rhetoric and a narrative he can control...

Crikey, the concerns voiced here are about anything BUT Relationship With God. But that's no surprise! Have to Have A Relationship With God before you can describe it. Have to have Been Born-Again, before you KNOW The Father...

The great fun of Laodicea, seeing the Christians rationalize who and what they want God to be.

Such defines the inability to Keep The First Commandment... Unwilling to Trust God Fully, you trust HIM only on your own terms. This is putting self Before The Great I AM. Self deciding how to "deal with God" from its implied superior position as arbiter of Truth and decider of what is True...

Like the flea with a hard-on, floating on his back down the river, you fucks are yelling "Raise The Drawbridge"! Such self-will, conceit, and self-importance.

The choice of self-will over God's Will IS The Original Sin... Only Father-God Can Deliver Us from our Carnal, Stony-heart. No other way to Be Delivered from self than through Surrender and God's Grace.

But, hey! Have a good time. It's not gonna last much longer!
