[ link to biblehub.com (secure)] then you can understand 1 and 2 of repentance. repentance of John the Baptist was of 1 - removing ignorance. You have to post up a quote from a human to expalin your understanding of repentance? I can go that route too. When we, as humans, have harmed someone else, HOW do we receive forgiveness? By merely stopping the harmful acts / words? Nope. We usually have to ask, with a contrite heart, FOR forgiveness. Would you not agree that God and His Son MADE US in their image? If so then, how about "as above, so below"? "forgive" occurs 28 times in 21 verses in the New Testament in the KJV [ link to www.blueletterbible.org (secure)] God is looking for chamge of hearts, words is not what God is looking for. Our Changed consciousness is God's reward as well as ours.
