Is there any connection to Satanism in the practices?

Yes. We actually had a guy dressed up as Satan for one of the rituals, so yes...

Re: Have any questions about Skull and Bones?
Great thread. I’m curious about occult influences. Checkerboard floors in the building? Images similar to tarot cards? Odd statues? You’ve mentioned the drugging of members. Do you know which drugs, and are they used as an attempt to raise conscious awareness? Any occult ceremonies? Attempts at channeling?
 Quoting: jamesd1628

It was one of the few places where I was usually wrapped up enough in what was going on that I wasn't counting tiles. The front hall may have had checkers...I'll have to try to remember.

There were a few symbolic pieces placed here and there.
The items I remember the most were from one of the ceremonies. And yes, we literally wore floor-length robes. There was a giant swinging gold incense burner...
a little like what this cute little guy has pope but bigger and more gaudy. There were staffs that were like knights' long sticks. We had books nearly as old and ancient as time (okay, maybe only a few hundred years old).

In the main skull display there were so many more items than what any artist's rendition has shown. A telescope, a bunch of gold items, a globe, a book that held a manifest - like a ship's manifest, more.

There was another seriously thick book that was signed at initiation, a knife that was present during that ceremony.

No idea about raising awareness. I saw it all through an atheist's eye - to me it was just another ritual to get through like a graduation ceremony or a wedding. I wasn't alone in that thinking.

The drugging knocked me the hell out, so I assume it did the same for everyone else at the table. There were maybe 22 people at the table that day. I was led away into the library. I have no idea where everyone else ended up. Tampering with the desserts was done by older members. I caught them in the act before dinner, being an idiot I didn't let that stop me from eating.

Re: Have any questions about Skull and Bones?
Is skull.and bones rival/at odds with any other secret society groups? Also what are their political affiliations? Mostly republicans?
 Quoting: kingLizard

On the surface, they have Scroll and Key and Wolf's Head, but there was at least some civil business going on among the three. I wouldn't consider the rivalry any more serious that opposing collegiate football teams. Although, I could be wrong.

Skull and Bones is above political affiliations for the most part. They own the spread.
Members in the group I got stuck tagging along with were essentially given "horses" (politicians) to keep control of, and those ran the gambit - Republican, Democrat, Independents, etc. I got the feeling those who had more power and money were given Dems and Republicans to run, while the more annoying members got the independents - group hierarchy stuff. Republicans may have had slightly more control of themselves in some cases (Bush Sr) but that may be a personality thing. Some people are harder to ride.

I nearly lost my mind when it looked like Bernie might have a chance because I knew who was running him and how screwed up their methods are, and if you think the world has been bad, you don't even know how much worse it would have gotten.

He's still on the scene, doing major damage, and not for the side this site tends to lean towards.

edit: Make that semi-major damage. He's behind one of the "grass root" organizations that's intended to cause chaos in the US and has been getting them all nice and riled up with some exceedingly bad advice and rhetoric, but they trust him because he's an "elder" in those circles, or they have been led to believe he is.

I'm not quite that far gone.

Hypnotics simply don't act the same when you are fighting them as they do when you willingly take them or are foolish enough to believe you're sober.

If you want an experience on a hypnotic, you'll have that experience, you've convinced yourself that you will, so you do, and if its strong enough the visual effects will help to cement that belief.

But if you're fighting it...no. You might start to dip down that hole, but its a constant effort to pull yourself back out and cling to reality - whether its the feel of the pavement beneath your feet or the knowledge that you do not have to believe everything you're told, even if its washing into you with each wave as your heart beat pushes that drug further into your system. That's not going to leave you open to dancing around what people refer to as the astral plane. It's going to have you fighting that chemical every step of the way to retain your life and sanity.

Great thread. I’m curious about occult influences. Checkerboard floors in the building? Images similar to tarot cards? Odd statues? You’ve mentioned the drugging of members. Do you know which drugs, and are they used as an attempt to raise conscious awareness? Any occult ceremonies? Attempts at channeling?

a little like what this cute little guy has pope but bigger and more gaudy.

He's still on the scene, doing major damage, and not for the side this site tends to lean towards.

edit: Make that semi-major damage. He's behind one of the "grass root" organizations that's intended to cause chaos in the US and has been getting them all nice and riled up with some exceedingly bad advice and rhetoric, but they trust him because he's an "elder" in those circles, or they have been led to believe he is.

being that you were heavily drugged most your early years to open or fracture the mind, do you have access to the astral?

It's going to have you fighting that chemical every step of the way to retain your life and sanity.

ive done my share so I know what you mean... tho ive been thinking for a while about microdosing mushrooms for a bit. thats the only hypno ive ever had control over...

i know you don't interact with that thing from the other thread anymore but do you still have any affiliation to those orgs? perhaps found one on the other side of the chess board?? or have you just tried to find normalcy since pulling yourself out of their hands.

I'm trying to lead a normal and boring life. Been trying for decades. I'm pretty freaking good at it when I focus.

That said, shit happens and this life was never my own. I just keep trying to reroute it to be mine.

From a young age, I was forced into a very specific international political career field, treated as a child savant or similar in it. I don't think career training starts that early anywhere except maybe China.

From a young age, it was already decided what country I would land in. It was discussed with doctors in front of me (they were worried an injury of mine might make adjusting to the country a minor challenge).

And then it was discussed again in Skull and Bones when I was dragged in to an agreement to go to that country with all of the pomp and circumstance and BS ritual that comes along with making an agreement through that lot.

So, when a series of bizarre events landed me in that country a decade or so ago, I wasn't surprised. Tired, fed up, exhausted, but not surprised. I got up, dusted myself off, and booked a flight out of there.

That's pretty much how I approach it.
