I've been on the fence about Sessions for awhile, quite awhile.

I'm starting to think that Trump and Sessions had a plan. Sessions recuse himself to allow all the fuckery and arrogance to unfold.

The interim AG has been investigating Shilary and O for the entire time.

Once Sessions stepped down, it allowed Trump to personally appoint his AG until January and go after those fuckers (the dumb state) with zeal.

This plan depended heavily on keeping and strengthening the Senate, which has happen. The demoncrat house don't have much power at all, they will demand this and that, but won't get much but disclosure of their crimes.

Trump has his Senate locked in now, big time.

The only thing Sessions will be activating any time soon is his campaign to get his old Senate seat back from Doug Jones in 2020.

I wish, jake. I will absolutely be voting against him in the primary, but there is no one with nearly as much name recognition here, and I am pretty confident he'll win. I would much rather see any of our Republican congressmen, Bob Aderholt, Mo Brooks, or my congressman, Gary Palmer, for instance, in that spot, but I doubt any of them could beat Sessions. In fact, Palmer actually told my dad, a couple months ago, that he was waiting until 2022, when Richard Shelby retires, to look at a Senate run. The reason was he thought Sessions would be back in the race in 2020 and he didn't think anybody could beat him.

I doubt it. We already lost it to a Democrat in a special election last year, and people are already sick of him. Doug Jones is a Schumer asslicker and only won because Roy Moore was such a miserable candidate and campaigner. People here don't like Sessions, but we'll hold our noses and vote for him if for no other reason than to get Jones out.

No statewide Republican lost in our elections this week, and none of them won by less than 20%, most by 30%+. This place is as red as it gets.

He actually wasn't such a bad Senator, but this AG experience has really left a bad taste in my mouth for the guy. I'll be damned if I'm gonna send Doug Jones back to DC, though. He would be much better suited to represent Caifornia than Alabama. He is not one of us.
