Michigan Legalizes Adult-Use Cannabis

“It’s not going to be an earth-shattering change,” Jeffrey Hank, an attorney who helped get the ballot measure in front of voters, told the Detroit Free Press. For now, it’s a matter of decriminalization. “Adults will no longer be arrested for simple possession and use of marijuana.”

With that being said, are they going to expunge all similar related previous arrests for the same quantities?

Cannabis on the Ballot (Post Elections)

Michigan voters said ‘Yes’ to Proposal 1, making the state the first in the Midwest to legalize recreational cannabis cultivation and use for those 21 years of age and older.

North Dakota rejected Measure 3 by a margin of 41 percent in favor to 59 against. The measure would have legalized recreational cannabis for those 21 and over. It would have also expunged past and current convictions related to cannabis.

Missouri voters approved one of the medical cannabis measures on the ballot. Amendment 2 passed by a margin of 66 percent to 34 percent.

Utah have voted ‘Yes’ to Proposition 2 by a margin of 53 percent to 47 percent. The Proposition would legalize cannabis for medical purposes for people with qualifying illnesses.

Ohio’s Issue 1 failed quite miserably with 63.8 percent of Ohioans voting against the measure.

USA should legalize... why?

1. tax revenues
2. lower crime?
3. reduce IQ of selected groups
4. shut up Liberals for awhile

I read that they were not going to expunge any convictions. As a matter of fact. The losers are still trying to find a way to block this from going through.

I heard on the radio yesterday that it will allow over 10,000 people out of jail and expunge their record.

Do people understand that the only reason this is being legalized is because the Government now controls the weed industry being used to keep the masses docile and marginally incapacitated?

New governor stated currently convicted of pot crimes would be released.

My wife told me she heard that this law doewnt go into effect for 45 days from the election day.
