Almost non stop sirens for an hour in the SFV right now. Something's going on but there's no news.

It's very odd. Never seen LAPD do this before. It's like they were responding to a massive riot.

Nice video. Song was pretty significant, too. I had just been looking at pre-fire Paradise videos, too. Some are real estate vids with homes for sale. Some just uploaded in October. Also did the Google street map thing and looked around some of the streets mentioned in the other vids you posted. Such a beautiful place. Who wouldn't love that town? I can see it must have been a great place to call home.

It's pretty striking how there are places burned down that were more in the open and not tucked into the trees. In a fire that raging there's not much chance of not burning. For those who still have places left standing - imagine! What to go back to - a home with no town? So sad.

Check the police scanners. Not sure which towns, though.

That's quite the "flare up". Looks like many acres and hard to get at.

Victims of Camp Fire Sue PG&E for Allegedly Causing Deadly Blaze
Victims of California’s most destructive wildfire have filed a lawsuit accusing Pacific Gas & Electric Co. of causing the massive blaze.

The suit filed Tuesday in state court in California accuses the utility of failing to maintain its infrastructure and properly inspect and manage its power transmission lines.

The utility’s president said earlier the company doesn’t know what caused the fire, but is cooperating with the investigation by state agencies.

The number will rise to unprecedented levels. I live a few miles away from this tragic event and have heard many diff instances about elderly either unable or unwilling to evac. Sad time for NorCal

CONCOW, Butte County — When Scott realized that his lakeside home in the wooded hills of Butte County was surrounded by fire, he knew he had only one way out: the water.

He, his wife and their two young adult sons, along with two dogs and a cat, plunged into the chilly Concow Reservoir 20 miles east of Chico last Thursday as flames singed the giant tule reeds on shore behind them.

Not far from the family, at least a dozen others, some elderly, had also rushed into the mountain lake, all wearing what they’d woken up in.

Some were from a caravan of vehicles that a firefighter had been trying to escort away from the early-morning blaze before the group ran into the same wall of fire as Scott, who asked to be identified only by his first name.

The firefighter ordered the drivers out of their vehicles and into the murky water. And as time passed, the sizzling heat from the shoreline forced the group deeper and deeper into the lake.

Theirs would become another astonishing tale of survival from the Camp Fire, which continued to grow Tuesday after becoming the deadliest and most destructive inferno in California history.

Among those saved was 90-year-old Bruno. Scott’s son, Michael, helped their older neighbor from his home and into the reservoir, though he wasn’t sure he could survive the dip.

“Bruno was saying, ‘Just leave me. I can’t do this,’” Scott recalled. “I said, ‘Bruno, we’re not going to leave you. And I’m not going to burn, so you better hurry.’”
