Rain should be starting at any moment near the fire area.

Per the reports yesterday they were expecting between 3" to 5" in the areas still burning and those affected by the fire.

Obviously that amount of steady rain will cause a dramatic drop in the fire continuing to spread, should be to virtually nothing, though some areas where they fire is well embedded into fallen trees etc. could see the smoldering go on for some time.

In the "recovery" areas it will make things a bloody muddy mess ... and those living in tents will have their lives disrupted again.

Ever since the fire I have been wondering why the Government didn't provide decent emergency tents for those who evacuated. Not a long term solution obviously ... but at least get the people under an organized shelter situation, if they wish to use them - NOT mandatory, with decent sanitation.

The US military has an ability to put up large tent cities with everything required for hundreds to thousands to live in, and does it regularly when it deploys, why couldn't this have been done in this situation where there was/is a lack of immediate shelter for the fire victims?

Heavy rain now falling on the #campfire. Great news! But the question remains, will there be any mudslides & debris flows as well? The wait is on

Have you guys been watching any of the Juan Brown videos posted in the fire threads? He's the commercial pilot who lives in northern CA (Nevada county, one over from Butte, I believe). In one of most recent updates he explained that the land up in Butte is granite and, while subject to flash floods, it's not landslide prone. That's a problem for southern California. When I lived out, I did some sandbagging after big fires followed by landslides. Some houses were filled with mud five feet deep and it happens fast in those canyons. I suspect it will be another disaster for the people who endured the Woolsey fire.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

I really like him because he doesn't deal in anything but facts and logic. His other video that shows the power lines running through the canyon and explains the generation from the Oroville dam is really educational, too. None of this rules out arson and Agenda 21/30 but he helps people see just how easy it is for these places to catch fire.

Re: Urgent! California fires updates!! 42 casualties! Winds 40 to 70 mph!! Day 3! Extreme fire conditions today for San Diego!
I spent a lot of summers in Paradise as a child. I remember how dry it was and the dirt was a fine red dust. Everywhere you looked there were groves of Manzanita. It seemed like an invasive species, really, it was EVERYWHERE.

Certainly good fuel! But where is it now in the "after" pictures? The other trees survived, for the most part, it seems. It's as if it was introduced just for that purpose:

MANZANITA
Arctostaphylos viscida
Manzanita firewood or wood for smoking

Manzanita firewood burns long and very hot. Manzanita is a shrub or small tree in the Western US that typically only reaches a height of 6′-8′ tall. Pieces will typically be small and usually crooked, but this dense hardwood will put out a lot of heat, so use it with caution, I have seen stoves glow red from loading it up with too much of this wood. When burning it in a stove, it’s best to build small fires or mix it with other species of wood.

Manzanita firewood will produce a nice bed of coals that will radiate intense heat. Be careful if you stir the coals because they can crackle and throw glowing hot cinders when disturbed. It’s an intense firewood species, but when used with caution it can make excellent firewood.

That missing number has been all over the place and I hope it keeps going down as people are located alive. Last I heard the confirmed death toll is 84. I suspect that will go up.

Undeniable evidence the fires were intentional and only could've been deep state.
