Cool thread. 5*! My first expression is that they were crafted by a modern artisan who found a way to make money selling cool high-end garden ornaments. I’ve seen similar things at some shows. It could also be the previous homeowner carved stone. Both bottoms look perfectly flat. Are they thick enough to stand up on a flat surface? No matter what these are, certainly a great find!
Quoting: mona lizard Agreed. Carvings and stone both appear recent, no aging wear, no moss or lichens, or even stains. Makes me wonder how they stayed so clean. Art style? Not authentic anything, likely a mish-mash created by a modern carver. Quoting: FlashBuzzkill but if he found them in his yard maybe someone is fucking with him.
