For any of you with AFIB, I put off this shock thing for over a month,( on advice from my GP). 3 and a half weeks later, after surgery, (yes they call it surgery), my resting pulse is 62 to 75,(was 95 to 102). My blood pressure is 110/80,( from 158/90 or so). I feel much better. More energy and can keep up,(almost), with my 2 year old Aussie! It worked for me so far, and I am told that over 90% of the people who go through with this are successful. It could return, I am told, if I don't follow what the Doctor told me to do. Mostly, exercise is restricted until I see her December 1st.NO flat out running, diet low in carbs, high in protein and fats. Can't wait to start lifting weights again.....my passion!!! Michael S |
