There is nothing that can be done if she decides to curl up in a ball and vegetate short of impeachment - which isn't going to happen. In fact, she could be in a coma and there is nothing which can be done about it. The Constitution needs to be amended for cases where a justice cannot perform their duties because of disability similar to the 25th Amendment which delineates how the President can be removed from office. So, short of dying, we are stuck with RBG. However, with a 5 justice majority, I think there wouldn't be too many 4/4 decisions. justavet In the end, our regrets are for what we didn't do, not for what we did. |
