Coffee, tea, breast milk? Flight attendant breastfeeds stranger’s baby on flight
I don't know where to begin. This is just strange, isn't it?
OK, I'm not a mom, so I maybe don't have the background to judge correctly, but, it seems all a bit messed up.

from the article (less than 50%):

A flight attendant went above and beyond to help a mom who ran out of formula for her infant Tuesday during a domestic Philippine Airlines flight.

Patrisha Organo, a 24-year-old flight attendant and first-time mom, offered to breastfeed the stranger’s baby.

A wonderfully compassionate thing to do! Shame on the mother for not nursing, herself, and also for not having the forethought to carry adequate formula with her.

As a mother, I also would not have been able let a tiny baby cry with hunger without doing something.

Bravo to the flight attendant!

Similar story, that I heard about a few months ago an Argentine Female Police Officer breastfed a small baby that had been brought to a hospital, where she was assigned, after being found dirty and abandoned.

I find it creepy but understandable and it's probably more accepted in other countries.

Every woman wants to be a mom and takes that shit seriously. It's weird, sure, but kudos to her to step up and help a stranger out in need, right?

Ummm pardon me, but before we became all high and mighty the servants, slaves and others nursed the babies of mothers who either couldn't nurse or wouldn't nurse. It is a GOD CREATED function of a woman..

We have become so foreign to the natural order.

So a human female breastfeeding a baby is now considered world news.
What a stupid world we live in.
Life is a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves.

Yes, it is. However, corporations from our country have gone to other countries and convinced women their formula is better than breast milk for their babies. Yes, we have done that. All for the corporation's bottom line. Aren't we clever?

I think it's wonderful that she was able to offer her milk to the baby.

As a former breastfeeding mom who was told to not give bottles or pacifiers to my infant bc it would prevent proper latching and nipple confusion ... I am confused. I guess this bottle fed baby was hungry enough to not be confused and latched right on?

I was reminded a few minutes ago that some women are unable to breastfeed.

I had intended to include the possibility in my original response, but neglected it.

My apologies to any woman who has desired and tried to breastfeed and are unable. I know that must really hurt.

How did the parents know this flight attendant dpesnt have HIV?

I have a 4 year old and also a 20 year old. We globe trotted with the 20 year old and have done the same with the 4 year old. He's been to Europe 3 times now, Canada twice and also Hawaii. And that does not count all the flying he's done in the continental US. We never once ran out of formula when flying with him. We also packed 4 X what we thought he would need for in flight. Same with diapers. Same with my daughter, the 20 year old.

I realize that there are breast milk banks where strangers donate their breast milk for babies whose mom's can't breast feed but I would assume that the milk in the banks is tested for shit like HIV.

On Point, my Grandmother was a "wet nurse". True story, in 1999 my wife was having trouble keeping up with my boy. My Grandmother told her to drink 1 beer a day and it would all be good. It worked like a charm.

Not every woman can breast feed. I know the breast feeding nazis say anyone can if you just try hard enough but not all women make enough breast, regardless of what they do.

I do agree that the parents are idiot POS morons for not having enough formula for their kid though. We globe trott with our 4 year old frequently and when he was still on the bottle we aways took in our carryon luggage 4 times what we thought he would reasonably need. That way we were prepared for flight delays or whatever.
