At topsail? I am from wilm and father sneads ferry. been gone a few years. I am not aware of black crime in topsail area. things change quickly these days.

Makes sense. Topsail beach is (was) primarily white population with regular visitors from Camp Lejeune. Mostly young families. They just got devastated from the hurricane so I am sure folks are wrapped tight. In schools, lots of transient Marine kids. Who only knows what propoganda they are exposed to in their homes and neighborhoods. (I was one, on the move every year,)

Sheriff’s deputies in North Carolina are responding to reports of an active shooter at Topsail High School outside Wilmington.

An emergency dispatcher with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office tells TIME that multiple units are on scene at the school as of 7 a.m. Friday.

“It’s extremely busy right now. All of our units are trying to take this person into custody,” the dispatcher said.

Capt. James Rowell, of the Pender County Sheriff’s Office, said there were no injuries reported and to expect further updates soon, according to local media.

School was NOT in session when the shooter was reported. The students have not arrived yet.

School is on lockdown. All buses transporting students to Lowes Foods.

Yeah. This was a call in report at 6:30am of an active shooter on the roof of the gym.

The newscasters said that no one is even at the school at that time but the janitors.
