Do you have good discernment when it comes to things like gofundme?

I am honestly asking, for example on youtube you have people who ask for money in the christian community and say they lost everything or are about to die or something. And there has been a few people over the years that I flat out suspect are lying. I never said anything because if I am wrong that makes me an asshole...but since so many people are messing around these days it is hard to know. And the christian community is THE EASIEST to take advantage of when it comes to these things. I don't mean organizations, just a person or a family.
