“On the late afternoon streets, everyone hurries along, going about their own business.

Who is the person walking in front of you on the rain-drenched sidewalk?

He is covered with an umbrella, and all you can see is a dark coat and the shoes striking the puddles.

And yet this person is the hero of his own life story.

He is the love of someone’s life.

And what he can do may change the world.

Imagine being him for a moment.

And then continue on your own way.”

Everything I have, I did in spite of the efforts of others who I didn't belong to and their cruel attempts to make me theirs. You having peers is a function of class, and nothing else, as is your belief that enslaving a person is the same as teaching them something.

Teach em wrong and you enslave em.

Teach em right und you will set em free.

But that is not the problem.

I know you people aren't one for straight answers, but I'll give it a shot anyway. Minus the pretext of teaching, what would your methods and expectations look like to an outside observer?

Well im only half retarded, so since you asked nicely, i will answer nicely :)

That would highly depend on the abilities of the observer, i guess. Normal people probably see a flying axe in the forest, so to say. I tend to just jump in and split non arguments in half with arguments, leaving stupid opinions shattered and they can reassemble from zero...

But i already learned that doesnt work on especially stupid people... So you set em up in a learning scenario they cannot ignore because it hits them where it hurts.

A good teacher just turns your head into the right direction, so you are able to observe n learn.

So...you start your teaching from a vantage of a contempt for your student's humanity and a blatant disrespect for their autonomy. When I have seen people hurt by you who have done nothing to you to merit it, why should I take you seriously considering that?

Everyone has the right to be ignorant and stupid.

BUT... If you bring to my personal sphere or influence my life in a bad way with it...

I have zero regrets handing it back. Its self defense.

Profiting off of stupidity and encouraging and rewarding it is 'letting it slide.' Worse, in fact. The whole duality thing allows you to say 'let it slide' about others, where you would say 'forgive' about yourself. I have not during my adult years been personally responsible for any harm to any person. And yet there are those who would attempt to obligate me with invisible responsibilities....

And dont get me wrong...

Its not about perceived wrong or right...

The truth is not personal...

It stands apart of us and we lack the means to ever fully grasp it.

But if its more on the true side, it applies everywhere, it works everywhere all the time and it can be reproduced outside your circles.

Yeah i know the feeling.

Since we know that it is an illusion to think that one can transfer his or her personal responsibilities... You should ask youself first, if it is really your responsibility.

And if it aint, push it off.

You will feed the illusion if you handle it and therefore kill the learning...

I'll be frank. There comes a point where a person does something where self-preservation dictates that you get away from them for good (this can apply to entire nations of people) due to what that action reveals to you about their ability to respect the autonomy and even the lives of other people. I find that cultures that emphasize a) unconditional love, b) unconditional forgiveness, and c) ineffability of purpose tend to be filled with aggressive and unscrupulous people, and that these expectations are usually used to underwrite specifically that kind of behavior. I don't see where trying to get away from someone who has repeatedly hurt you in the past counts as trying to hurt them by shirking an obligation you didn't know you had until they told you, but then again, it doesn't surprise me.
