We all follow the same patterns, no matter how hard we try not to.

There is no birth without death. I know the old me died the day I held my first boy. I stopped being who I was as soon as I heard that cry.

I think leaves falling symbolize the parts of ourselves that we shed to live through the winter of our own losses. Nothing can remain the same forever, so if we don’t make room for change then we’ll be frozen in place to the detriment of our personal growth.

The tree leaves turning from season to season is like a visual clock per say. We know the season by the colors of the leaves, we know the season by the dropping of the leaf, we know the season by the new buds, we know the season by full blooms..and the fruit..etc....they are the standing clock of the seasons.

Each season a tree sheds it leaves, they grow back stronger, more robust, they learn and adapt.

All reality is circles, cycles, growth and death, rebirth.

We all shed our leaves from time to time.

My mom, before she passed early, liked to say that people seem to come full circle and reinvent themselves every five years or so.

I don't know if she was right, but I like to think she was.

People go through seasons in their lives, most totally unaware, but some can see.

You can learn a lot from a tree.

It’s a scientific fact that every molecule in our body is replaced within 7 years, meaning that we are entirely different within that time.

We either choose to participate in our own change or it happens without our permission, but the only certainty in life is change.

Indeed, trees are my favorite teacher to be honest.

Some people are very connected to trees. In 2009 when my mother passed away, lightening hit her favorite tree and split it. I knew it was a sign. After my father passed, the rest of tge tree fell making a loud crash. We had a picture of my Parents with that tree, they were in like over 40 years of marriage and had taken a lovely photo with them in each others arms leaning up against this really old oak tree....
