In your bible, didn't god supposedly tell Moses to make a serpent-head idol? And this had magical properties?

chuckle

What about the magical staff that turned into snakes?

My point is the serpent is universal energy in the end...that can be utilized for good and evil if you have the proper knowledge to do so...
 Quoting: Dreamer 76682459

My Bible? Lol.

To the Egyptians the serpent represented the soul.

To the Greeks owls were wisdom.

Again these are attributes assigned by man. Why not just speak about the concepts instead of holding on to ancient animalism? Can we collectively grow up out of our fairy tales please?
 Quoting: Willow Wood

The way we were both raised is why we can't see eye to eye...I am not talking about fairy tales...

You can never understand my beliefs, just as I supposed I will never truly understand yours...
 Quoting: Dreamer 76682459

The funny thing is you both can be right even know you are seeing from a different angle.

We should learn from one another's perspective and create a bridge to understanding.

Or we can just argue about snakes and owls and get nowhere and continue to feed our egos. Whatever works. Lol

I do try and I have studied many different subjects but I do admit I truly don't understand some of the thinking. It does not compute in my world chuckle

Re: What would you say to him?
The staff in scripture was powerful because of who held it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77455211

But "God" chose the serpent for the staff...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76682459

Scripture as in all writing is layered by human perception. The one who held the staff had more power than that staff. Would you agree with that?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77455211

I would say that your god possessed the power and only transferred it to Moses according to that story...and could have picked any animal but chose the serpent. There is symbolism there...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76682459

Symbolism yes.

Actual crawling snakes having some kind of power...no

I wish you good health, honestly. You must be suffering. It's ok, just don't try to be so negative. Doesn't work. hf

The rage of a madman will not be silenced
Caught in the threshold of blood thirsty violence
An addiction to the deadliest sin
The grips of his sanity are worn far too thin

I know he won’t be stopped
I know he can’t be stopped
I know he won’t be stopped
He will not be stopped

His evil will be well planned out
And there will be no mercy
Everyone will die at the wrong place
At the wrong time

The time of your death
It’ll be way to soon
Everyone around him is sure to be doomed
He’s a killer man, his wit is to quick
Watch your back cause he’ll slit your throat

I know he won’t be stopped
I know he can’t be stopped
I know he won’t be stopped
He will not be stopped

His evil will be well planned out
And there will be no mercy
Everyone will die at the wrong place
At the wrong time

They will die
They will die
At the wrong place
At the wrong time

Well that shouldn't be...we have the abilities to be a lot more than what we currently are.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76682459

Indeed.

But yet we give more power to a snake or an owl.

I’m just saying, if I see an owl I don’t place doom on it. I see a beautiful creature and go on with my day .
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77455211

Again it's how we were both raised I suppose... I have my beliefs passed down from both of my parents and you have yours...
