devils and demons often attempt to portray themselves as sources of light! this is a snakepit!

those who make a mockery by G-d by insinuating their opinion is of value, will bare the consequence, whether they believe so or not!

Lol, thanks man!

I have been around so many people that are absolutely positive they are going to heaven and I've always said to be careful, that attitude leads you down a dark road.

The bible says to work out your salvation with fear and trembling and I believe that was written for a very good reason.

Me personally, I am never sure, I just try to be the best person I can be everyday.

God will do what God will do, He is the Boss!
 Quoting: ~Newton's Own~

personally, I disagree. fear never lead me anywhere but into more fear, but if it worked for you, then that's just part of what makes us different and I accept that.

many times in my life I've had to choose what I knew would makes things worse in the short term, but I've learned to trust the process and that process pulled me out of the incarceration cycle, off the streets and into the arms of a lovely, loving woman and the kids she gave me.

'all roads lead home' is a truth in my world.

anyway, gotta run, my wife has the next two days off and we have some co op borderlands to play..

have a good day bro, I'm happy to call you friend, and enjoy these discussions.

cheers
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77416468

I understand you.

Your path also made you incredibly smart and strong.

Mine wasn't one of total fear but, as the bible says, fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

I know we disagree on a couple things, but I am also very happy to call you a friend.

Have a good day bro.
 Quoting: ~Newton's Own~

I got to know the Lord out of total fear, I repented like no one had died for my sins. Each to their own.
 Quoting: Vamps333

I get that.

I really do, more than you know.

I could go on but I think you understand me a bit.

devils and demon are unable to prophesize, heal or teach the Word of G-d. they use various means in an attempt to seem as if they do.

mostly they use the naivety of men to do so.

It's all about perspective Newton now what is heaven to you? If God created a place for you what would be in it?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15371119

My idea of heaven would be for everyone whos ever lived to find their way there after learning the truth and being forgiven of their sins.

I'm probably not a very good Christian but I HATE the idea of anyone going to hell.

I know, there are rapists and murders and all sorts of horrible people that some folks would say deserve it and I get that too.

Its a hard thing to think about and harder still to rationalize.

I enjoy the idea of meeting Moses and Elijah and most of all Jesus Himself. I enjoy the thought of talking with them about the times they lived in and what they learned.

I really, really want to meet Enoch and hear his story first hand.

My idea of heaven is so large its hard to explain it right.
 Quoting: ~Newton's Own~

So a place where you could meet these spirits? What about family would you have any? What about beer? Sex? Rock and roll? Freewill? Wonder what it looks like?bonghit
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15371119

Of course I'd love my family to be there, but thats kind of selfish. I'd love ALL families to be there.
 Quoting: ~Newton's Own~

The theme in the near future will be " Paradise with your Peers" :)

Funny how most don't want cameras in the White House, NSA. and CIA for full accountability behind closed doors!!!….It is very pathetic and shameful what We have allowed with Our Tax Dollars over generations!

I use my own process that I developed myself.

I = I is mine, I developed it through my own effort and study of the world and how it functions.

If I quote someone else, I give credit.

example:

"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" ~leonardo da vinci

but i don't quote other people often, and try to find my own words to everything.

that, by my own definition, is personal responsibility.

the bible can help you the same as the quran or the popol vuh, but ultimately, every heart is weighed on it's own merit.

I try to speak my own words just for that reason.
