A Nasa Mission when I was 16

My sister just said that I'm nuts..
when my other sister called us on the phone and told her that when I was 16 years old, I was aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis as a passenger, just to see if I could take it.

She asked me what it was like and if I was scared.

I told her that during liftoff, you're glued to your seat, you can't go nowhere..
That thing is going at least 25,000 miles per hour.
Its the fastest thing in the world.
And up in Space, you weigh nothing, everything floats around..
I was lucky that I got cold MREs to eat...


Then she asked if it was scary.

I said no, it's not scary.
Because once you're in, you're going.
There is no stopping it, you're strapped in, its moving, lets go.
For better or for worse.

She said you're nuts man.
