For example: a group commits a robbery and all but one are caught. The captured receive no food or water, nor may speak to a lawyer until they positively identify the one who escaped. After about three days without food or water they will gladly reveal their partner in crimes' identity. If they choose to not do so, then no trial needed, nature will take them on about the fifth day.
