GREEN GRASS!! Happy cows.

Do you still get rain over there?
We are being denied any major amounts of rain, everything is dead here in California.

We have had one of the driest years on record. Ever. But the last weeks have seen more rain. Still less then normal. But enough for lush, green grass. Lovely these cows in the morning.

Have friends and family in California. Stay safe. Way too dry!

I'd like to see the bunnies too. However, the Muslim call to prayer is a ugly, harsh sound to most of us in America. Wouldn't want to hear that.

This is a Red and White Friesian calf with mother... and another cow which I have no idea what sort it is!??

Anyone know what sort of cow that is, the largely black one with a white tail, legs and under-belly?

lucky you ... I just tossed my critters some alfalfa leaves, from a bail of hay that cost $15 because there hasn't been any rain for a couple of years ... other than a splat, here and there and an inch or two of snow, that dehydrates as it falls ... sigh

can't sell them, when you have to feed them year-round ... someone is making a fortune on selling hay, but I bet it isn't the farmers.

Sorry to hear. Goodness. Yes, that is one thing we have enough of in The Netherlands is water. (even though we had a 'drought' this summer, canals and ponds did not generally dry-up.)

in high school I hung out with an ice skater, her instructor sold us weed and one time, she handed me a pamphlet about these cows, it was the mid 90s, said her mom, was gonna invest :)
