Just had a thought, They might close the Bosphorus straight trapping Russia in the Med and in the Black Sea. That would be the Tension builder to all of this.
Quoting: blackdogtango Turkey would tell NATO to fuck themselves. The treaty of Montreux is in effect. The NATO treaty is a mutual defense treaty. It only applies if a NATO territory is attacked. American troops overseas getting attacked do not trigger NATO obligations. Ukraine and Israel are not NATO countries.
