I miss being a kid & playing with Ninja Turtles & GI Joe's & Thundercats & He-Man & Voltron toys all day. Not worrying about this or that. Just wake up, play all day, go to sleep, do it all again the next day.

I miss the old (good) video games...which is why I'm currently writing a two-player Tetris game for the Atari 2600, I guess.

When the news was on for 15 minutes both nationally and locally. This 24/7 news "blastoma" is killing people at best and raising tension, depression, anxiety, etc., for everyone else.

Toys being better quality! Remember Tonka trucks used to be made of metal. Those damn things were heavy! Even the plastic stuff was better quality, thick, hard to break.

I miss building forts with actual scrap wood and hammer and nails, getting splinters and getting dirty. Riding bikes all around the neighborhood, rollerskating, riding in my Red Flyer wagon (and crashing) down a hill, hide and seek with the neighborhood kids at night, only when parents forgot to come out and call us in after the streetlights came on.

I miss sitting backwards on those small seats in the back of old volvo station wagons with my cousins and making faces at the drivers behind us haha. That shit was dangerous and uber illegal now...

Libraries with real books and bookstores too...

Rotary phones and push button phones too. Instead of texting you could talk and there would not be a record for all time...

Speaking of records, I miss my old record player stereo .....45s...and radios...

And my parents and grandparents...especially this time of year...

Going to the movies as a little Kid and just going in and seeing a movie wherever it was in the show...and watching it again...
