1. there is nothing spontaneous about it. humans have created cells from scratch, do you stipulate that creating life forms from basic ingredients will be forever outside of our reach?
2. The fact that horses make horses and ponies make ponies....

How do you know equines (which are in the order Perissodactyla) didn't evolve from a common ancestor with other Perissodactyla? Hypothetically, lets say they did. All modern equines have a single toed foot. Other Perissodactyla, like most mammals have more than one toe. Would you agree that if the hypothesis is correct, it would be likely that the ancestor of the horse had more than one toe?
