So It's Non-Christian to "Be Against The Caravan"?! | |

Quoting: Shea D Kuntz It's more common than not, for people to conveniently interpret the whole in light of the part, for example, scripture says "eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die". Someone can pick up a bible for the first time, read only that and think "Hallelujah! Let's get schnockered!". They could technically hit the bar, sauce up and preach (the false) "good news", and based upon their rules? they'd be right. That whole verse in this example however, is preceded by the idea that IF there's no resurrection (or judgement) then our actions in life have no eternal consequences so why not just run tear ass naked through town and bust up on some random tart? The standard liberal use of drive by theology here negates the entire canon of scripture and the spirit of the word. Jesus reinforced the notion of obedience to laws (render to Caesar and having come not to abolish but to uphold and fulfill the law). There are nations, countries, states, cities, towns, boroughs, land marks, gates, walls, homes, rooms, boundaries etc. and there are rules / laws to protect the people within any given territory. The whole notion that this "caravan" of "immigrants" should be given free reign to enter into the sovereign nation of the US without any vetting, qualification, background checking, etc. is brainless. To try and use scripture to prop up the idea that resisting the casual entry of "illegal" immigrants constitutes being "Un-Christian", is a full on admission of biblical ignorance. This is not an attack, it's an observation based upon a lifetime of unbiased study coming at it from agnostic, existentialist, nihilist, TM'ist, new age-ist, pantheist and finally, blood bought believer points of view. Everyone's got an opinion these days but very few work with facts. "Study to show thyself approved" ~2 Timothy 2:15 "Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy." Ezekiel 16:49 This pointsto UNgodly way and attitude. Caravan, me thinks, is a different issue - it is a provocation. But it is a good reminder that we do not properly share God's blessings. The whole caravan thing is ridiculous however. It's been going on for years and is financially backed by those who would seek to undermine this once great nation. If people really wanted to help, they would go to these countries, work with their governments there and help them to create infrastructure. But that doesn't jive with UNA21. They want to impoverish US vs. lifting others. "I'm finished . . with the checking . . of the bag . . converSAtion" |
