As far as worrying about the stock market when this goes down...

We are already in a correction. When all this goes down the markets will not implode much further. In the long run this country will be unstoppable. I foresee a mega bull market for some time followed by the typical recession/pull back.

IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: Trump knows that the markets are of huge importance to most Americans. It also has effect on the overall economy.

I believe he is well aware of all this and has plans already in place... ("it's the economy stupid").

I have bought into this correction and will ride it out.

America is the place to invest now and for sure in the future.

As a side note I remind friends and family what other events the stock market and economy have been through:
civil war, World wars, Cold War, influenza that killed 1/4 of the world population, presidential assassinations, oil crisis, the dot.com melt down, the financial crisis in 2008 etc.
{Please feel free to add other stuff)

if you are an investor and not a trader it will be fine. Never lose faith in America! One thing I can assure you is that over time, the market goes up -always.

Enjoy the ride.

(I am an investor, not trader)

On merit, the market has been broken since 1998. A few wars later, and after printing endless money, the official national debt is at 21 trillion and counting. The real number is likely higher

If this isn't a ponzi scheme I don't know what is. They will strike when people least expect it and the losses will take many years to recover. It's only a matter of time

I'm guessing that the recovery will only happen when the Federal Reserve is dissolved.
That wipes out the $20T in debt, and the recovery will be threw the rebirth of the Treasury for US currency.

America won't be the international powerhouse it once was, but it'll be strong and stable.

Wont we still owe the trillions to the likes of China and Japan?

Public Debt. The public holds the rest of the national debt of $14.8 trillion. Foreign governments and investors hold almost half of it.one-fourth is held by other governmental entities. These include the Federal Reserve, as well as state and local governments. Sixteen percent is held by mutual funds, private pension funds, and holders of savings bonds and Treasury notes. The remaining seven percent is owned by businesses, like banks and insurance companies. It's also held by an assortment of trusts, companies, and investors.

As of September 2014, foreigners owned $6.06 trillion of U.S. debt, or approximately 47 percent of the debt held by the public of $12.8 trillion and 34 percent of the total debt of $17.8 trillion. As of 2018, the largest holders were China, Japan, Ireland, and Brazil.

Intragovernmental Debt. This is the portion of the federal debt owed to 230 other federal agencies. Intragovernmental holdings total $5.7 trillion, 28 percent of the debt. Why would the government owe money to itself? Some agencies, like the Social Security Trust Fund, take in more revenue from taxes than they need. Rather than stick this cash under a giant mattress, these agencies buy U.S. Treasurys with it.

By owning Treasurys, they transfer their excess cash to the general fund, where it is spent. Of course, one day they will redeem their Treasury notes for cash. The federal government will either need to raise taxes or issue more debt to give the agencies the money they will need.

No.
Federal Reserve is dissolved. Bankrupt.
Remember, the Federal Reserve is associated with America's Federal government, but it isn't the federal government.
This will piss off the world, but fuck 'em!

The Dept. of Treasury will take over the monetary system as lawfully outlined in the Constitution. Gold-backed to stave off inflation.

That would be the one and only solution, easier said than done. Everyone who tries this gets murdered so hopefully someone or some group gets it done

The US is the only country able to pull it off. If you take the lead, others will follow. End the false economics and there will be an abundance of everything. Best way to fight corruption too, whoever controls money supplies controls governments.

when governments become lawless and arbitrary, citizens have the right to overthrow the regime and institute a new government by peaceful means or force if necessary

Or in this case, replace governments with federal reserve and problem solved

Pay them nothing and officially charge them to pay back all interest
