By the way, they first predicted or I should say tried to scare the crap out of everyone by saying that the oceans would rise by fifty feet in fifty years, that was 38 yrs ago.

They needed more tax dollars to raise all of the sea walls to protect coastal cities from floods.

If that is correct then now they want us to think that the ocean floor is being pushed down to hide the water level rise.

If the floor is only 0.08 inches deeper than it was twenty years ago then that only shows a 0.08 increase in sea rise
if they are trying to correlate the rise with the sinking floor.

Even PBS screws up. They had a show about Alaska and showed the one glacier in the world that was growing instead of shrinking.

It's a glacier that is seen by people so they can't just lie about it.

I seriously did not just hear an elected representative say the island would capsize with more people on it - did I? No, not possible. This man ran for office and was elected by a group of people - among whom there had to be at least some IQs over 100 - had to be. Right? Then how was this poor man elected?

Apparently he believes islands are floating - curious how they stay in one place, in that case. Guam is likely to be found next to some country any day now, just parked off the beach, right?

I am starting to understand why, when I try to explain to people something complex, like that a judge might be severely corrupt who handled a case involving me, that people just need to assume it is not possible. They cannot handle complexity. They assume the majority and powerful people are usually right. So, they are very easy to control. It is a brilliant system we live in. It is just complex enough that many people won't understand it. Impressive.

Anyway, in that clip, what's really telling is the response the other guy, Willard, gives. Willard doesn't say what a normal human would say. "That's stupid." No. He knows he has to support the establishment. So, he implies the politician's theory is sound, but the population isn't really enough for the island to fully capsize:

Johnson: "Yeah, my fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize."

Willard: "We don’t anticipate that … the Guam population I think currently about 175,000 and again with 8,000 Marines and their families it’s an addition of about 25,000 more into the population."

The other guy, Willard, is a clearly a shill/stooge.
