Apparently not having Facebook makes people think you're crazy

LOL! Srsly though how is it this easy to be looked upon as "normal" in todays society, and this easy to be considered "not normal". Such weird, shallow and fragile standards.

They do think its a social awkwardness type of thing going on, i must agree...

I've had the same type of responses from my workplace too...

They all thought I was a freak or something for not using social media...

My response was "you're all brain dead zombies thinking that fake book friends are you're real friends"...

I'm not there because I AM crazy. I don't care to be profiled by what I respond to. The political division and click bait crap triggers the hell out of me and I end up arguing with deuche bags all over the place and end up with stalkers. I despise FB and all it represents and yet I AM the crazy one for refusing to go there. I know who my friends are. I have none. That's how low the honour and intregrity and content of character of the average person is these days, hard to find friend worthy people, but they sure aren't on FB.

In the future there will be one Government social media account, that you will have to belong to. You will have to keep it updated, because if you don't, it will hurt your "citizen score" like in China.

I don't really do Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or anything else either. I like the forums though. I learn and research things. I would rather read a book.

I do have a Facebook account but I just use it contact companies when I need to. I don't use my real name or any personally information for that matter. Hell, I don't have one person friended. lol

I was Network Engineer for over 20+ years after getting out of the military and never used it, I did everything via email or phone. About half the IT workers I worked with didn't have one either. No one thought it was weird.

I honestly don't see the point. I don't want to friend people I know. I don't want to even friend my relatives or friends. They need me, they can call, text, or email.

If your from Sweden, maybe it's a Swedish thing. I'm not sure since you could be behind a VPN or Proxy. A status type of marker in your life. I personally don't give a rats ass what others think.

Same with me. A girl I like at my work asked me to add her on Facebook. Said I didn't have one. She acted all weird. Then I told another co worker what happened. And he said it is kinda weird you don't have one. Strange world we live in

Never had a facebook account....I went to a school reunion last year and was the star of the night....Because everyone knew everything about everyone else's life over the last twenty years from their facebook...They hardly spoke to each other..because there was nothing new to say or ask.

A day after working with some one new, I already know their name, where their from, and possibly hobbies and interests. They tell me without me having to ask them. Meanwhile, me being new at work know this, but the guy or girl they worked with for YEARS, had no idea about any of it. People don't give a shit about each other any more or what's going on? Meanwhile, I'm the unsociable one for not having fucking Facebook.

some truth to this..I just tell people I don't want fuckerberg to know who my 100 closest friends are..or the NSA/CIA etc.

I honestly think I might have lost a lot due to not having FB. In terms of work oppportunitites, they probably look for your FB profile, and if you're not there, they don't even bother with your application. This is what I suspect.
