Santa is not real, christmas is not real. Jesus was not born then. Christmas is real. The decorations, trees, presents those are real and i see nothing wrong w celebrating that. I have seperated Christ from Christmas, one should celebrate Him all yr long. There also is no Easter. These are all Pagan Holidays, you can google anything you want on the subject

This was Emilia’s class today. A substitute teacher asked the kids which holiday was coming up and when somebody answered “Christmas,” she proceeded to just completely unleash on them:
She told them Santa isn’t real and parents just buy presents and put them under their tree. She told them reindeer can’t fly and elves are not real- elf on the shelf is just a pretend doll that your parents move around. She did not even stop there: the tooth fairy is not real because mom or dad just sneak into your room in the middle of the night and put money under your pillow, same goes for the Easter bunny. She told them magic does not exist. There is no such thing as magic anything.
A grown woman tried to crush our six-year-old‘s spirit, along with the spirits of the other 22 kids in CH’s 1st Grade class. Many of us parents have been doing damage control since the kids get home from school today, but coming from an adult this is definitely the kind of seed that was planted deep inside of their skeptical, perceptive and inquisitive minds.
Praying for a Christmas Magic miracle 🎅🏼🎄 to keep these kids believers for as long as possible.

She should've just explained the origin of the myths. St. Nicholas, Yule, everything. I appreciate tradition and holidays, but why lie to kids about stupid shit like Santa and the tooth faerie?

Her AP class teacher did the same to her when she was in first grade.

Those siding with the substitute teacher still have PTSD after finding out that the toof fairy was bogus.

That woman seems to have been on a mission that day - wonder why, or who sent her. Destroying a child's innocence is incredibly cruel and short-sighted.

Perhaps she hates children? Or had a terrible childhood and wants to visit that upon all children?

If my child had been in that class, I would be in the principal's office, demanding that she no longer substitute in my child's class, and recommending she not teach anywhere ever again. Shame on her!

Isn't that up to the parents? Just like religious education, if any, early sex education, and any other sensitive material - this belongs in the family.

Teachers and substitutes need to stick to their freaking three R's and things would be a lot more harmonious between schools and parents. If you teach English, Math, Science etc., you don't speak politics, Santa or your sex life to the students. Teachers straying from subject matter should be suspended without pay. Parents need to start demanding this of their schools.
