My self-imposed exile is drawn to end.

It's good to 'see' all of you again.

My free time this week spent studying the concept of the "Oneness Blessing" across multiple cultures, religions, and millenia.

Ya'll are funny.

I dragged out my 100 year old singer from it's black box to add a side seam to the oldest down comforter on earth. The motor has almost complete locked up. So, I'll be diving into my mechanical skilz later today. I'm too afraid someone else would screw it up, or swap parts, I'm going to learn the tinkering. I did replace 2 carburetor diaphragms on a Jaguar 2+2 and disc brake pads on a wire spoke MGMidget.

Ugh... two hours of sleep. Good morning folks.

Mrs. Louis was called to work and needs to drive to the Western part of VA where someone struck a power pole which needs sufficiently repaired to not break during the coming snowstorm or replaced if damaged too badly.

I can't possibly sleep behind concern, actually worry, with her heading out for this job. I'm glad its not snowing yet and isn't supposed to begin here at least until late afternoon.

She is heading in exactly the direction the storm is coming from, hence the need for immediate repairs.

I've made strong coffee to remain awake and as I'm cooking for one, breakfast just may be General Tso's chicken, I've hot sesame sauce, chicken and the fixings for fried rice to go with it.

And what timing; she is in our truck and will meet other crew members there. Yesterday she saw the company truck she's being assigned next week, it was being fully stocked with needed safety gear, inventoried, and comes with the requisite lights, signs, GPS, radio, and cameras.

She needs everyone's GLPrayers today.

New perspective day:

Good morning, rearranged my philosophy and religion books into the scifi and philosophy section. Religion was thrown into the dead writers guild. I love my little library at 6am. No steak yet, but it's going to crawl out of the fridge pretty soon...walk across the counter and moooo, wrap itself in pressed olive juice and throw itself onto the fire....

I heard things that were for me, but not the rest of the world, for example "Bhagavada Gita" wasn't there. I spent half a lifetime studying the religion from that lie.

Yo P!! Good morning.

I did fall asleep on the sofa for a few hours.

She did just call, she's returning home and asked if I were hungry enough for a steak. Having fallen asleep on the sofa, my GT chicken never came to be, so steak it is, she may cook it though, I can only properly cook one over charcoal.

The oven is heating and the backyard opossum is nowhere in sight, but my feral kitteh, Mr. Blackwell came running meowing loudly when I put out fresh food for him so he is fed before the storm.

Eden (n.)
early 13c., "delightful place," figurative use of the place described in Genesis, usually referred to Hebrew edhen "pleasure, delight," but perhaps from Ugaritic base 'dn and meaning "a place that is well-watered throughout" (see also Aden). Related: Edenic.

And then look what paradise means...
paradise (n.)
late 12c., "Garden of Eden," from Old French paradis "paradise, Garden of Eden" (11c.), from Late Latin paradisus, from Greek paradeisos "park, paradise, Garden of Eden," from an Iranian source similar to Avestan pairidaeza "enclosure, park" (Modern Persian and Arabic firdaus "garden, paradise"), compound of pairi- "around" (from PIE root *per- (1) "forward," hence "in front of, near, against, around") + diz "to make, to form (a wall)."

The first element is cognate with Greek peri "around, about" (see per), the second is from PIE root *dheigh- "to form, build."

The Greek word, originally used for an orchard or hunting park in Persia, was used in Septuagint to mean "Garden of Eden," and in New Testament translations of Luke xxiii.43 to mean "heaven" (a sense attested in English from c. 1200). Meaning "place like or compared to Paradise" is from c. 1300

Essentially a 'walled garden'...BUILD THE WALL! BUILD THE WALL!

Just got back from taking the man child shopping...needed dress up clothes for his hospitality job fair and interning interviews. He looked super cute.

He’s going back to school tomorrow and now the check engine light came on in my daughter’s car...AUGH!

Starving and warming up some leftover pizza...where did it come from?
Oh, yes, and a beer. The last of my “Twelve Dogs of Christmas Ale.”
Brewed and bottled in Akron...

It just started snowing here, really coming down...but we’re only supposed to get 1-3”.

Glad everyone is safe, warm and fed!

...

Camel Crush Menthol; highly addictive.

A friend handed me her vape device with 'Earl Grey Tea' flavored nicotine vape juice at the office yesterday. I hit it hard and she said "It's not a bong, you can ease up a little on that, it will work gently!!"

You can purchase a vehicle service port code reader for under $30 USD and possibly save hundreds of dollars vs. going to a mechanic.

I've filled the truck, bought fuel for the generator, and put down 15 lbs. of rock salt on the steps and sidewalks.

Thanks for the tip. Fortunately, that car falls under the husband’s area of responsibility. lol. Son is going to drop it off.

I put out some salt on the side porch and walkway...daughter used my car for work. She said she slid about 15 feet, coming home. Missed our drive, and was able to stop at the sign. Had to turn around to pull in.
I have a Subaru with great tires..it must be getting bad out.

Eggs, pancakes, hash browns, & sausage links. I ran out of pancake mix, so I had to make my own batter. I couldn't find my recipe, so I looked one up online. They were ok. It's all about the good grade B dark maple syrup. Yum!

Oh I do so LOVE the fluffy flavor of melted butter and maple syrup pancake with a bite of sausage all at once. YUMMMMMMM
