Very yum! I’ve never used coconut oil.
I’m off to work early today. I hit the snooze button 3 times.
I need more coffee.

I love my coconut oil. It's really good for you, too. I get the virgin oil meaning it still has the smell & taste of coconut. I think it lends a slight sweetness. I add it to my veggies instead of butter sometimes. I put in in my rice & broccoli last night.

I use it to fry things in a lot. I usually mix it with regular vegetable oil since the coconut is more expensive. You have to make sure you use a big enough pan though because it tends to foam up when you put the food in.

I’m adding this to my shopping list. Can’t wait to try it!
I use walnut oil sometimes, but olive is my usual. The walnut oil is also great when making salad dressings. I like everything a bit nutty.lol

Mrs. Louis uses coconut oil in her cooking, yet says she is allergic to coconut in food. I don't see the difference, but whatever makes her happy, I always accommodate her.

I bought chow mein noodles (the dry crunchy things) and sliced water chestnuts to go with my broccoli and beef with garlic sauce. I'll cook it up later if I don't fall asleep in the den watching a show on Stonehenge and the people that were camping in it that vanished when lightning struck it in 1971 witnessed by the landowner and a police officer. Spooky!

I've watched two of the new shows DW posted about here two or three days ago, very interesting about deep state arrests, and the cybernetic intelligence autonomous based robotic army to only be loosed upon an alien invasion if it occurs.

We're about broke behind truck, bill, and life-necessity payments and purchases. That oil change is always about $12 more than I expect because Ford Trucks use six quarts oil vs. the five other vehicles use. I may have already posted that; I took a Surface laptop to Goodyear with me and fell asleep in a comfy chair in their lobby while posting--D'oh!!

I just got up and kissed an old picture of my dad I keep on the bookcase.
He taught me everything I know about money, investing and how to make it work for me in my life. My wedding gift was a copy of “The Millionaire Next Door.” My father quizzed us on it later. Lol That’s probably why your washing machine scared me more than the spirits wandering about, reflected in the crome.... While I did buy an amazing pair of sunglasses today, most of my overhead goes for food, bevies and smokie treats.

I am so close to running away, I just tingle thinking about it. ltana
I just need to get the boy through college and settled..
He’s reaching the end of his junior year. cheers

You both have income, YOU set the real priorities, make some phone calls, and go into “broke mode”. That’s what Mr.Mona and I used to call it.

It’s going to be alright...I know things.

The girl is here tonight and was hungry right away after a 4 hr long stint of selling Girl Scout cookies. She sold over 200 boxes! She's a charmer - and they had a good place for their booth!

So we settled on hot dogs, mini tater tots, and leftover baked beans for us.

I'm sure she will end up in bed early even though she gets to stay up until at 10 at our house.tounge

She will be over more next week as she gets almost a week off. I know it's Presidents Day, but I think they attached a bunch of Teacher Workdays.

Just know you're not alone in that. We don't usually have a lot leftover anyway, but this month was car ins and tags for the car & the bike. We have to pay ad valorem taxes on it every year. They're old, but the taxes are about $100.

It doesn't even bother me anymore. My rent and necessities get paid. We always have enough to eat and are content to stay home and watch movies. Our days of hitting the town are long gone.

I too use olive oil, Mrs. Louis dislikes its taste however so I can't use it in anything I prepare for her. [She doesn't know that olive oil is my 'secret ingredient' when I cook steaks on the grill rofl ]

I took off the 19th as well for a "medical procedure".

Okay I'll say what it is--a colonoscopy; I dread it.

At least my healthcare provider is Anthem, so they will send me a check for $200 for my seeing a doctor instead of me paying a "deductible".

I am ever more convinced that two systems of healthcare exist and "the elite" don't care what happens to us as they do not know the cost of healthcare to the 'common man'.

Okay serious GLP lady question: Why do so many women always look at a man's crotch when they first see him?

I mean "I'm up here", not down there.

I make a point of not looking at their boobs or butt when I see a friend; why do they not follow the 'same protocol'?
