My IV was infiltrated woke up in recovery after back surgery and it felt like someone stuck a chainsaw in my back. I was tied down thank god because if I could have gotten to the nurse in the recovery room I'd have killed he. My arm was sallow up like a softball. She said how many Lortab have you been taking. Implying I had a high tolerance to pain meds. She then shot me up with valum to shut me up. When they moved me to my room the floor nurse said to her his IV is infiltrated. The recovery nurse said I can give IVs. That was the most pain I've ever experienced.
I'll never go under the knife again.
