University of Berkeley: pole shift could happen in a human lifetime
[link to news.berkeley.edu (secure)]

"It’s not as bizarre as it sounds. Earth’s magnetic field has flipped – though not overnight – many times throughout the planet’s history. Its dipole magnetic field, like that of a bar magnet, remains about the same intensity for thousands to millions of years, but for incompletely known reasons it occasionally weakens and, presumably over a few thousand years, reverses direction."

The fact that they are even treating it as a real possibility is telling.

This was tin foil territory just a few years ago. Remember what Edgar Cayce said.

It is CA so we have to wonder about poles to begin with. Putting that aside, A pole shift is already underway and is making some record speed. Unfortunately, we will all be dead by the time it is even close to over.

Carlin put this whole shitcan we are in, in perfect perspective. The only reason earth needed humans was to create plastic. We did that and now we can go.

There are different theories on what happens during a pole shift.

The magnetic field is decreasing rapidly.

gee...how much of their intellectual brainpower went into this one...yeah, pole flips happen, and, per scientist's calculations (based on historical events), we're coming due for another one in the next very many years.. could happen in 70 years, maybe 175...or 700.

now, what are the REAL repercussions when it happens, based on current technology? Lot's of science/physics involved here...

I personally believe it will trigger a huge geologic catastrophe. I also believe thar an insider group knows what is going to happen.

True that!

Actually I don’t remember what he said about it

Yes, we could see earthquakes and volcanoes.

However, if the magnetic field goes to zero, we will get bombarded by cosmic rays. If it goes weak for years, many would die of the cumulative rad dose.

I can imagine having to sleep and live as many hours as possible inside a shielded area such as bunker. Or you could sandbag one room of your house.

Note that there is evidence of accelerated evolution during short periods of Earth's history. My bet is increased cosmic ray bombardment leading to rapid mutations.

Cayce said around this time there would be a pole shift and entire nations would go into the sea. Theres more details. He said this long before it became fashionable to say so. He said land would also rise.
